GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Weed Control Guidelines:

  • Weeds should be sprayed while actively growing and at their most susceptible stage.
  • Annuals should be sprayed when young, and perennials just prior to the appearance of the bud stage.
  • Avoid extremes of cold or drought. Ideal conditions include moist soil, fine weather, and no rain within 6 hours of application.
  • DO NOT spray crops or weeds outside the stages indicated in "Critical Comments" to prevent damage, yield loss, or inadequate weed control.
  • Avoid spraying in high winds.

Application/Mixing Information:

  • Mixes readily with water. Half-fill the spray tank with clean water, add the required amount of the product, and agitate thoroughly before adding the remaining water.
  • Boom spraying: Use 30 - 120 L water per hectare. For LINSEED, a minimum of 170 L water per hectare is recommended.
  • Aerial spraying: Use 10 - 90 L water per hectare.

Equipment Maintenance and Usage:

  • Equipment used for this chemical should not be used for the application of other materials to sensitive plants unless properly cleaned.
  • Clean equipment with Tank & Equipment Cleaner or a 2% solution of cloudy ammonia followed by several clear water rinses.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • Nufarm MCPA Amine 750 Herbicide is a Group 4 herbicide with disruptors of plant cell growth mode of action.
  • Weed resistance management is essential. Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to this herbicide may exist.
  • Nufarm Australia Limited accepts no liability for losses due to the failure to control resistant weeds.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Compatible with diflufenican 500g/L SC, Associate®, diuron 900 WG formulations, Nufarm Kamba® 750, Nufarm Bromicide 200, Nufarm Archer® 750 Herbicide, Revolver®, Igran 500 Flowable, and Trooper®.
  • Effectiveness of Imidan® and Dimethoate may be reduced by alkaline hydrolysis if tank mixed with this product. For these situations, the addition of COLLIDE 700® is recommended. When tank mixing, add the required amount of compatible product (and surfactant if recommended) when the spray tank is nearly full and while continuously agitating. If left overnight, agitate thoroughly before spraying.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Re-entry period: Hand weeding should not be performed for 7 days after spray application unless workers wear protective clothing.
  • Protection of crops and non-target plants: DO NOT spray in high winds.
  • Drift Warning: DO NOT apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands or pastures. Avoid spray drift onto susceptible crops such as cotton, tobacco, tomatoes, vines, fruit trees, vegetables, legume crops and pastures, oilseed crops and susceptible trees (eg. kurrajongs, belahs, eucalypts).
  • Legume Tolerance: The use of MCPA (Nufarm MCPA Amine 750) is preferred to 2,4-D Amine (Amicide) or Ester (Estercide) in situations where legumes are undersown in the crop. The tolerance of pasture legumes to applied product can vary with species, variety, growing conditions, stage of growth and companion crop cover. DO NOT spray cereal crops undersown with lucerne as damage may result.

PROTECTION OF HONEY BEES AND OTHER INSECT POLLINATORS:

  • Low hazard to bees. May be applied at any time as recommended in the Directions for Use.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or watercourses with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
  • Triple-rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of undiluted chemicals properly, following waste management regulations.
  • Refillable containers: Empty contents fully into application equipment. Close all valves and return to the point of supply for refill or storage.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

  • Harmful if swallowed, attacks eyes, and irritates the skin. When handling, wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles.
  • Wash skin immediately if product contacts it. In case of eye contact, wash it out immediately with water.
  • After use, wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly. Wash gloves, goggles, and contaminated clothing after each use.
