GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Nufarm Grunt is an effective foliar contact and soil active residual herbicide. Ensure thorough and uniform coverage with sufficient water. For optimal foliar and residual weed control, apply post-emergent spray during active weed growth and when air temperatures are 25°C and above. Effectiveness may be reduced during dormant or winter months, under moisture stress, or in semi-dormant vegetation.

In temperate winter rainfall areas with temperatures below 25°C during active plant growth, foliar effects may be slow. Root absorption becomes crucial for herbicide activity, requiring sufficient rainfall post-treatment. Results vary based on chemical amount, rainfall, temperature, soil type, and conditions.

All product use rates are overall rates. For band treatment, proportionately reduce the rate, using one-third for one-third area treated.

EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATION: Nufarm Grunt is a water-dispersible granule. Mix with water and apply recommended rates with ground or aerial equipment. Partially fill the spray tank with water, add the product, and maintain agitation. Keep the solution agitated during spraying.

To prevent nozzle blockage, use 50-mesh or coarser strainer and nozzle screens. When mixing with atrazine, add Nufarm Grunt first, agitate, then add atrazine.

Ground Application:

• Apply with a calibrated boom in 100-400 L/ha.
• For Forestry Spotgun, refer to Directions for Use.

Aerial Application:

• Apply a minimum of 20L water per 1 kg of product.
• Minimum 50L water required with Accuflow in helicopters.
• Use a surfactant for pre-planting applications.

Industrial Weed Control (Ground Application Only):

• Apply in 100-400 L/ha with a calibrated boom or 2000-4000 L/ha with hand spray equipment.
• Add a non-ionic surfactant for improved wetting.

CROP SAFETY: Avoid application after planting in specific situations to prevent tree death or injury.

EQUIPMENT CLEAN-UP: Thoroughly clean equipment after use to prevent damage to sensitive plants in subsequent treated areas.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: Nufarm Grunt Herbicide is a Group 5 Herbicide with photosynthesis inhibition at photosystem II mode-of-action. Use in rotation with herbicides of different modes to manage weed resistance. Monitor for surviving weeds and prevent seed set.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, PLANTS, AND ENVIRONMENT: Exercise caution to avoid damage to trees and desirable plants. Keep away from waterways and prevent drift onto non-target vegetation. Do not apply in windy conditions.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK: Keep livestock away from treated areas.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Dispose of undiluted chemicals properly. Do not burn empty containers.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: Harmful if swallowed. Irritates eyes. Use face shield or goggles when handling. Wash hands and contaminated clothing after use.
