GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Nufarm Weedmaster ARGO Herbicide is a water-soluble liquid herbicide designed for non-selective control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in various agricultural and non-agricultural settings.

  • It can be used on agricultural land before planting any crop, edible or non-edible, except before transplanting tomatoes.
  • Caution is advised when applying before transplanting crops into plastic mulch. Residues must be removed by 20mm of natural rainfall or sprinkler irrigation before transplanting.

The herbicide is absorbed by plant foliage and stems, moving throughout the plant from contact to the root system. Initial effects on annual weeds take 3-7 days, potentially longer under specific conditions.

CROP ESTABLISHMENT: Recommended for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment. Cultivation and/or planting operations promoting suitable conditions for crop emergence are necessary post-herbicide application.

  • Delays in planting might be needed for heavy weed growth or unfavorable soil conditions.
  • Vegetation incorporation may affect crop emergence under cold, wet conditions.

MIXING: Nufarm Weedmaster ARGO mixes well with water. Reduced efficacy may result from water containing suspended clay or organic matter. Avoid using galvanized steel or unlined steel containers; opt for stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, or plastic.

  1. Fill the spray tank 1/3 to 1/2 full with clean water and start agitation.
  2. If adding Nufarm Liase (ammonium sulfate), use a 2% v/v and mix thoroughly.
  3. For tank-mixing, add recommended herbicide/insecticide/additive and mix.
  4. Add Nufarm Weedmaster ARGO and remaining water. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Add Nufarm Pulse Penetrant or Nufarm Wetter TX if needed.
  6. Maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.

TANK MIXTURES: Compatible with various herbicides, insecticides, and adjuvants. Follow label directions, restraints, plantback/withholding periods, and safety guidelines.

  • Example herbicides: Nufarm Amicide Advance 700, Nufarm Kamba 750, Express, Eclipse, and others.
  • Example insecticides: Imidan, Le-Mat, Lorsban 500, Karate, Sumithion ULV, Talstar, and others.

APPLICATION METHODS:

  • Boom Equipment: Spray volume of 80L/ha or less recommended.
  • Shielded Equipment: Spray volume of 80L/sprayed ha suggested.
  • High Volume Application: Adjust equipment for even spray with a COARSE droplet size.
  • Wiper Equipment: Operate a minimum of 10 cm above the crop. Repeat treatment if needed.
  • Controlled Droplet Application (CDA): Apply through handheld or machine-mounted CDA sprayers. Clean units thoroughly after each use.
  • Aerial Equipment: Use boom or Micronair equipment with a spray volume not less than 20 L/ha. Swath width and water volume adjustments based on conditions.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Avoid drift onto desirable plants, as contact may cause severe injury or destruction.
  • Follow temperature and humidity guidelines for aerial applications.
  • Environmental factors, rain conditions, and weed growth stages should be considered for optimal performance.
