GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS CONTINUED
Tank Mixtures - Compatibility and Mixing
This product may be tank-mixed with various herbicides, insecticides, and additives. It is essential to follow proper mixing procedures to ensure effective and safe application. Here are the steps for mixing additional products:
- Fill the spray tank 1/3 to 1/2 full with clean water and start agitation.
- Add the recommended herbicide, insecticide, or additive to the spray tank and mix thoroughly.
- When ammonium sulfate is recommended, add Liase at a rate of 2 L/100L spray solution and mix thoroughly.
- Add weedmaster DUO and the remaining water. Mix thoroughly.
- Add surfactant, if required, near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.
- Always maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.
Tank Mixtures - Herbicides Compatibility:
This product is compatible with various herbicides including Atrazine Hi-Load, Estercide Xtra 680, Grunt WDG 750, Kamba 500, Simazine flowable, Oust, Yield, Rifle 440, Stomp 330, Nufarm Surpass, Ally/Associate, Logran/Nugran, Flandor 500, LVE MCPA, and Striker.
The addition of Striker at 75mL/ha to recommended rates of weedmaster DUO before planting wheat or barley may improve knockdown and speed up the visible signs of phytotoxicity. Note: Specific compatibility agents may be required for certain mixtures, so seek advice.
Tank Mixtures - Additives (Ammonium Sulphate):
- Add Liase to water first at a rate of 2 L/100L spray solution.
- Liase may improve the performance of weedmaster DUO under adverse environmental conditions and minimize antagonism in tank mixes of weedmaster DUO and flowable triazine herbicides.
Note: Liase may be corrosive to metal parts of the sprayer, so thoroughly flush tanks, pumps, and nozzles with water after use.
Tank Mixtures - Insecticides Compatibility:
This product is compatible with insecticides such as Dimethoate, Fenitrothion 1000, Imidan, Le-Mat/Comrad, Lorsban 500, Metasystox, Perfekthion EC400, ULV, and emulsifiable concentrates of dimethoate and fenitrothion.
Application Information:
- This product is a non-selective translocated herbicide, meaning it can affect a wide range of weeds.
- Direct spray contact or slight drift may cause severe injury or destruction to any growing crop or other desirable plants, including trees.
- Clean all equipment after use by thoroughly washing it with water.
Boom Equipment Application:
- Use recommended rates of this product in 75-200 L of clean water per hectare.
- For conservation tillage at 500 mL-1.5 L/ha, spray volumes of 25-100 L/ha are preferred.
- Fan nozzle equipment is recommended, using pressures in the range 240-280 kPa.
- Set boom height to ensure double overlap of nozzle patterns at the top of the weed canopy.
High Volume Application (Knapsack and Handgun Equipment):
- Adjust equipment to achieve an even spray pattern.
- For handgun equipment, a D6 spray tip or equivalent, and an operating pressure of 400-700 kPa are recommended.
- Apply to ensure complete and uniform wetting of all foliage.
Low Volume Application (Gas Gun or Splatter Gun):
- Apply as an even spray to cover all foliage.
- Refer to the "Weeds Controlled" section for the dilution and volume of mixture to be applied.
