GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING

For insecticide management, OMEN 290 is a Group 1B Insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to OMEN 290 and other Group 1B Insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if OMEN 290 and other Group 1B Insecticides are used repeatedly. The effectiveness of OMEN 290 on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Since the occurrence of resistant individuals is difficult to detect prior to use, Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of OMEN 290 to control resistant insects. OMEN 290 may be subject to specific resistance management strategies. For further information, contact your local supplier, Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd representative, or local agricultural department agronomist.

MIXING

Mix the required quantity of OMEN 290 in sufficient water to give even coverage. Boom sprayers and aircraft are satisfactory for spraying OMEN 290.

COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with most commonly used herbicides. Ensure that OMEN 290 is thoroughly mixed in the spray tank before adding a herbicide. DO NOT mix concentrates together but add each to the spray tank separately. As formulations to other manufacturer's products are beyond the control of Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd, all mixtures should be tested prior to mixing with other commercial quantities. As changes in climatic conditions can alter the sensitivity of plants to mixtures of sprays, Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd cannot be responsible for the behavior of such mixtures.

GROUP 1B INSECTICIDE

RE-ENTRY PERIODS: Barrier Spray around crops

DO NOT allow entry into treated areas for two days. If prior entry is required, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day’s use.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK

DANGEROUS TO BEES. DO NOT SPRAY ANY PLANTS IN FLOWER WHILE BEES ARE FORAGING.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT

DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, or watercourses with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

The method of disposal of the container depends on the container type. Read the Storage and Disposal instructions on the label that is attached to the container.

• Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
• For all other non-refillable containers: Triple rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to the spray tank. DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemical on-site. If recycling, replace the cap and return clean containers to the recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and deliver empty packaging for appropriate disposal to an approved waste management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the empty packaging 500mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation, and tree roots, in compliance with relevant Local, State, or Territory government regulations. DO NOT burn empty containers and product. DO NOT re-use empty container for any other purpose.
• Envirodrum - Micro Matic Valve: Store the original sealed Envirodrum in a cool, well-ventilated area. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. DO NOT tamper with the Micro Matic valve or the security seal. DO NOT contaminate the Envirodrum with water or any other foreign matter. After each use of the product, ensure that the Micro Matic coupler, delivery system, and hoses are disconnected, triple rinsed with clean water and drained accordingly. When the contents of the Envirodrum have been used, please return the empty Envirodrum to the point of purchase.
• Refillable Containers: Empty contents fully into application equipment. Close all valves and return to the point of supply for refill or storage.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

Product and spray are poisonous if absorbed by skin contact or inhaled or swallowed. Will irritate the eyes. Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders. Sensitive workers should use protective clothing. Repeated minor exposure may have a cumulative poisoning effect. Avoid contact with eyes and skin and clothing. DO NOT inhale spray mist. When opening the container and preparing spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing), elbow-length chemical resistant gloves, water-resistant footwear, and face shield or goggles. When using the prepared spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and elbow-length chemical-resistant gloves. If clothing becomes contaminated with product or wet with spray, remove clothing immediately. If product on the skin, immediately wash the area with soap and water. If product in the eyes, wash it out immediately with water. After use and before eating, drinking, or smoking, wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day’s use, wash gloves and face shield or goggles and contaminated clothing.
