GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - Ox 240 Herbicide
Product Description:
Selective herbicide for controlling certain annual grasses and broadleaf weeds.
Suitable for use in dormant apples, grapes, peaches, pears, plums, apricots, almonds, macadamia, duboisia, tobacco, coffee, pyrethrum, winter cereals, tropical/subtropical crops, brassicas, onions, Eucalyptus, Pinus spp., and other forestry trees.
Application Areas:
Applied to weed-free soil or seedling weeds at 4 to 6 true leaf stage.
Provides weed control for up to 6 months.
Spot treatment may be required for escape weeds and perennial grasses.
Surfactant Addition:
When applied to seedling weeds, add non-ionic surfactant or Ken-Wett 1000 at the recommended rate to enhance activity.
Utilization with Knockdown Herbicides:
Low rates can be used to improve the weed spectrum of knockdown herbicides.
Crop Tolerance:
Tolerated by Duboisia seedlings and mature plants.
Eucalypt and pine transplants and established trees can tolerate "over-the-top" applications.
Timing:
Apply to the soil surface before weed emergence.
For optimum residual control, apply after all other agricultural operations are completed.
Area should be left undisturbed during the desired weed control period.
Spot treatment may be necessary for escape weeds and perennial grasses.
MIXING:
Shake well before use.
Fill spray tank one-third full with clean water.
Add Ox 240 with the pump and agitator running.
Complete filling the spray tank.
Add non-ionic surfactant if required, minimizing foaming.
Tank mixing with other herbicides should follow specific label instructions.
Application:
Ground spray directed at the base of crop plants.
Use low-pressure herbicide sprayer with flat fan or hollow cone nozzle.
Ensure thorough coverage of weed foliage and soil surface.
Use higher water volumes for high weed density.
Crop Safety:
Apply as directed around dormant peach, plum, apricot, almond, apple, and pear trees, and grape vines.
Rates greater than 1.0 L/ha should be applied to trees and grapevines at least 3 years of age.
Avoid application once bud swell has occurred at rates greater than 1.0 L/ha.
Duboisia seedlings tolerate "over-the-top" applications.
75 mL/ha rate can be applied before sowing winter cereals.
Compatibility:
Compatible with various herbicides including Credit, Bonus, Naproamide, Speedy 250, Para-Ken 250, Diquat 200, Ken-Up 450 CT, Roundup Powermax, Spray Seed, Oryxalin, Glyphosate Trimesium, Weedmaster Duo, and Tryquat.
Protection Measures:
Avoid drift onto nearby water bodies, susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, or pastures.
Use with care in areas frequented by livestock.
Highly toxic to wildlife and fish; avoid contamination of water sources.
Do not apply under conditions favoring drift from target areas.
