GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Resistant Weeds Warning: Spalding OX 240 EC Herbicide belongs to the diphenyl ether group of herbicides and has the inhibitor of protoporphyrinogen oxidase mode of action. It is classified as a Group G herbicide. Resistance may develop in weed populations with repeated use.

Timing: For residual weed control, apply Spalding OX 240 EC Herbicide to the soil surface before weed emergence, after completing all other agricultural operations. Weed control can last up to 6 months with high label rates. For post-emergence weed control, apply Spalding OX 240 EC Herbicide + glyphosate tank mixes to small seedling weeds up to the 4-6 true-leaf stage.

Mixing: Shake well before use. Fill the spray tank at least 1/3 full with clean water, add the recommended amount of Spalding OX while the pump and agitator are running, then complete filling the tank. If tank mixing with other herbicides, follow the recommended order and directions. Maintain agitation during mixing and spraying.

Application: Calibrate spray equipment carefully before use. Apply Spalding OX 240 EC Herbicide uniformly with an accurately calibrated, low-pressure sprayer, targeting the base of tree and vine crops using flat fan or hollow cone nozzles. Ensure complete coverage of seedling weeds for maximum knockdown effect. Apply using a vehicle-mounted boom, calibrated to deliver the appropriate droplet spectrum classification and water volume depending on soil type and weed stage. Tank mixtures with glyphosate herbicides should be applied at specified rates in recommended spray volumes. Avoid incorporation or disturbance of the herbicide after application for maximum residual control.

Crop Safety: Spalding OX may be applied around dormant peach, plum, apricot, almond, apple, and pear trees, as well as grapevines of all ages, at specified rates. Mature Duboisia plants and seedlings can tolerate 'over-the-top' applications of Spalding OX.
