GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide is a selective herbicide designed for the control of certain annual grass and broadleaf weeds in various crops, including dormant Apples, Grapes, Peaches, Pears, Plums, Apricots, Almonds, Macadamia, Duboisia, Tobacco, Coffee, Pyrethrum, Winter Cereals, Tropical/Sub-tropical crops, Brassicas, Onions, Eucalyptus, Pinus spp., and other forestry trees. The application can be made to weed-free soil or to seedling weeds up to the 4 to 6 true-leaf stage.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide belongs to the Diphenyl ether group of herbicides and is classified as a Group G Herbicide for weed resistance management. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes may develop resistance to Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide and other Group G Herbicides through genetic variability. It is crucial to monitor and manage resistance, and Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd is not liable for losses resulting from the failure of the herbicide to control resistant weeds.

TIMING

  • Residual Control: For optimal residual weed control, apply Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide to the soil surface before weed emergence, following completion of all other agricultural operations. The treated area should be left undisturbed for the desired weed control period, up to 6 months.

  • Post-emergence Weed Control: Apply Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide + Glyphosate tank mixes to small seedling weeds up to the 4 to 6 true-leaf stage. Use a non-ionic surfactant (1000g/L) to enhance activity. Weeds should be actively growing and free from environmental stress.

MIXING

When using Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide alone, fill the spray tank one-third full with clean water, add the recommended amount of herbicide with the pump and agitator running, and complete filling the tank. Add a non-ionic surfactant (1000g/L), if required, near the end of the filling process. Thorough agitation is essential during mixing and spraying.

APPLICATION

Calibrate spray equipment before use. Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide should be applied uniformly to the base of tree and vine crops using flat fan or off-center nozzles. Complete coverage of seedling weeds is necessary for maximum knockdown effect. Recommended water volumes vary depending on soil condition and weed stage.

CROP SAFETY

Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide can be applied around dormant peach, plum, apricot, almond, apple, and pear trees, and grape vines of all ages at specified rates. For rates greater than 1.0L/ha, trees and grape vines should be at least 3 years old. Do not apply once bud swell has occurred at rates greater than 1.0L/ha. Duboisia seedlings and mature plants tolerate over-the-top applications.

SAFE SOWING INTERVALS

Imtrade Oxen 240 EC Herbicide, up to 75 mL/ha, can be safely applied before planting various crops, with specific intervals mentioned. The herbicide has residual soil activity, especially at rates greater than 75 mL/ha, impacting plantback intervals for horticultural crops.
