GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Oxon 240EC Herbicide is a selective herbicide for controlling certain annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in various crops and forestry trees. Here are the key instructions for its use:

TIMING:

  • Residual Control: Apply Oxon 240EC Herbicide to the soil surface before weed emergence, after all other agricultural operations have been completed. Leave the area undisturbed for up to 6 months for optimum weed control.

  • Post-Emergence Weed Control: Apply Oxon 240EC Herbicide plus glyphosate tank mixes to small seedling weeds up to 4-6 true leaf stage. Use a non-ionic surfactant like BS-1000 to improve activity. Cultivation after treatment and prior to planting is beneficial for final fallow weed control.

MIXING:

  • Shake well before use. Fill the spray tank at least one-third full with clean water, add the recommended amount of Oxon 240EC Herbicide while the pump and agitator are running, then complete filling the tank. Add a non-ionic surfactant, if required, near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.

APPLICATION:

  • Calibrate spray equipment carefully before use. Apply uniformly with an accurately calibrated, low-pressure herbicide sprayer, directing treatment to the base of tree and vine crops using flat fan or hollow cone nozzles.

  • Ensure complete coverage of seedling weeds for maximum knockdown effect. Apply using a vehicle-mounted boom, calibrated to deliver a medium droplet spectrum, using appropriate water volumes based on soil condition and weed stage.

CROP SAFETY:

  • Oxon 240EC Herbicide can be applied around dormant peach, plum, apricot, almond, apple, and pear trees, and grape vines of all ages at specified rates. Ensure safety intervals and avoid application once bud swell has occurred at higher rates.

SAFE SOWING INTERVALS:

  • Oxon 240EC Herbicide can be safely applied before planting various broadacre crops and pastures, with specific intervals depending on the crop and application rate. Follow guidelines to avoid injury to emerging crop seedlings and observe plant back intervals for horticultural crops based on application rates.

Ensure thorough understanding and adherence to all safety directions, recommended rates, and application guidelines provided on the label before using Oxon 240EC Herbicide.
