GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before using AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide, read and understand the following instructions.

TIMING

For optimum residual weed control, apply AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide to the soil surface before weed emergence, following all other agricultural operations. The treated area should remain undisturbed during the desired weed control period. Apply to young and actively growing seedling weeds. Weed control is expected for up to 6 months, but spot treatments may be necessary for escape weeds and perennial grasses.

MIXING

When using AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide alone, fill the spray tank at least one-third full with clean water. Add the recommended amount of oxyfluorfen while the pump and agitator are running, then complete filling the tank. Add a non-ionic surfactant, if required, to minimize foaming. When tank mixing, follow label directions, adding Oryzalin, Glyphosate, paraquat/diquat, or other formulations as specified. Maintain agitation during mixing and until spraying is completed.

APPLICATION

Calibrate spray equipment before use. Apply AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide uniformly as a directed treatment to the base of tree and vine crops using flat fan or off-center nozzles. Ensure complete coverage of seedling weeds for maximum knockdown effect. Recommended water volumes range from 250 to 500 Litres per hectare for bare soil treatments and 100 to 1350 Litres per hectare for seedling weeds. Use higher volumes for areas with high weed density. Tank mixtures with Glyphosate should be applied in 30 to 200 Litres spray volume per hectare. Do not incorporate or disturb the herbicide after application for maximum residual control.

CROP SAFETY

Apply AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide around dormant peach, plum, apricot, almond, apple, and pear trees, as well as grape vines. Rates should be less than 1.0 L/ha for young trees and vines and at least 3.0 L/ha for mature ones. Do not apply once bud swell has occurred at rates greater than 1.0 L/ha. Duboisia seedlings and mature plants tolerate "over-the-top" applications. At the 75 mL/ha rate, apply AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide prior to sowing winter cereals.

COMPATIBILITY

AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide is compatible with Glyphosate 450g/L and 360g/L, paraquat, oryzalin, and diquat.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide belongs to Group G herbicides with the inhibitor of protoporphyrinogen oxidase mode of action. Manage weed resistance by not repeatedly using AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide or other Group G herbicides. Resistant weeds will not be controlled, and Axichem Pty Limited accepts no liability for losses due to resistant weeds.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD

Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried. If necessary, wear chemical-resistant footwear.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE PLANTS, AND NON-TARGET PLANTS

Avoid application under conditions causing spray drift onto nearby water bodies, susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK

Use caution when applying in areas frequented by stock.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT

This product is highly toxic to wildlife and fish. Avoid contaminating water bodies and areas frequented by wildlife.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Store AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide in the closed original container in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. Triple-rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of undiluted chemicals properly. For refillable containers, return to the point of supply for refill or storage.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

AC Oxxel 240 EC Herbicide can damage eyes and irritate the skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment during handling and application. Wash hands and contaminated clothing after use.
