GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: OzCrop OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC Herbicide

Usage: OzCrop OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC Herbicide is a selective herbicide for controlling certain annual grasses and broadleaf weeds. It is suitable for use in dormant apples, grapes, peaches, pears, plums, apricots, almonds, macadamia, dubosia, tobacco, coffee, pyrethrum, winter cereals, tropical/subtropical crops, brassicas, onions, Eucalyptus, Pinus spp., and other forestry trees. Apply either to weed-free soil or seedling weeds at the 4 to 6 true leaf stage.

Timing: For optimum residual weed control, apply OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC to the soil surface before weed emergence, after completing all other agricultural operations. Leave the area undisturbed for the desired weed control period. When applied to seedling weeds, they should be young and actively growing. Spot treatment with knockdown herbicides may be necessary for escape weeds and perennial grasses.

Mixing:

  • Shake well before use.
  • When using OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC alone, fill the spray tank at least one-third full with clean water, add the recommended amount of OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC while the pump and agitator are running, then complete filling the spray tank.
  • Add a non-ionic surfactant, if required, near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.
  • When tank mixing with Surflan 500 or Devrinol, add to one-third filled tank, then add OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC during filling.
  • Maintain agitation during mixing and until spraying is completed.
  • When tank mixing with Roundup, Roundup CT, Roundup PowerMAX, Weedmaster Duo, Credit + Bonus, Nufarm Glysophate CT, Spray.Seed 250, or Nuquat 250, add these after OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC during filling.
  • Always refer to the appropriate label and follow all label directions when using OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC in mixtures.

Application:

  • Apply as a ground spray directed at the base of crop plants.
  • Use a standard low-pressure herbicide sprayer with a flat fan or hollow cone nozzle.
  • For seedling weeds (4 to 6 leaf stage), ensure thorough coverage for maximum knockdown effect.
  • Apply evenly using 250 to 500 L of water/ha for bare soil and 250 to 1,350 L/ha for seedling weeds (4 to 6 leaf stage). Use higher volumes for high weed density.

Crop Safety:

  • OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC may be applied as a directed spray around dormant peach, plum, apricot, almond, apple, and pear trees, and grape vines of all ages at rates less than 1.0 L/ha.
  • For rates of 3.0 L/ha and above, apply to trees and grape vines at least 3 years old.
  • DO NOT apply once budswell has occurred at rates greater than 1.0 L/ha.
  • Duboisia seedlings and mature plants tolerate "over-the-top" applications.
  • When using the 75 mL/ha rate, OXYFLUORFEN 240 EC may be applied as a directed spray before sowing winter cereals.
