GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

FOR USE ONLY AS AN AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL HERBICIDE, THIS PRODUCT IS TOO HAZARDOUS TO BE USED IN THE HOME GARDEN.

This herbicide is designed for specific agricultural and horticultural use to control annual grasses and most annual broadleaf weeds. It acts quickly on green plant tissue on contact but is immediately inactivated in the soil or heavy dew. The selectivity principle involves killing annual weeds while allowing perennial plants and clovers to recover after initial scorch. This allows desirable perennial species to thicken up at the expense of weeds. Long-term weed control is achievable when combined with soil residual chemicals.

READ ALL SAFETY DIRECTIONS before commencing work.

DO NOT use hand-held ultra-low-volume controlled droplet applicators (CDA units), boomless jets, or misting machines.

MIXING

  • Add the required quantity of the product to water in the spray tank and agitate for even mixing. Re-agitate if left standing.

Wetting Agent

  • The product contains a wetting agent, and additional wetter is generally not required. However, if high-volume spraying causes excessive dilution, a wetter should be added. Use 60 mL of 1000g/L NON-IONIC SURFACTANT per 100L of spray mix when needed. Extra wetter is recommended in orchard or vineyard situations with specific weed ratios.

Clean Water

  • Mix the product with clean water only, free from clay, silt, and algae. Saline water, water from various sources, and dams can be used if meeting cleanliness requirements.

APPLICATION

(i) Cereals and Broadacre Spraying

  • Use a properly calibrated boom spray with flat fan jets, adjusted for double overlap at the top of weeds. Spray pressures should be 200-300 kPa, and speed of travel should range from 6-15 km/hr. A good marking system is essential. Different spray volumes are recommended based on weed height and density.

(ii) High Volume Applications

  • Higher volumes are generally required for good coverage in situations other than cereals and broadacre crops.

(iii) Wash spray equipment with clean water immediately after use. The product is highly corrosive to metals, particularly galvanized iron and aluminum.

Spraying Conditions

  • Avoid spraying plants under stress and covered with dust or soil. Dull weather or end-of-day applications are recommended for better results. Light rain after spraying won't affect results. Avoid drift into neighboring crops.

COMPATIBILITY

  • Compatible with various soil active herbicides, wetters, and other herbicides for prolonged weed control and quick knockdown. Resistance Warning: Imtrade Para-Trooper Herbicide is a member of the bipyridyl and triazole groups of herbicides. It has the “photosynthesis at photosystem I inhibitor” and the inhibitor of carotenoid biosynthesis modes of action.

  • For weed resistance management, it is a Group L and Group Q Herbicide. Resistance may occur, and Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility for losses resulting from resistant weeds.
