GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - Rygel Paraquat 250 Herbicide

READ ALL SAFETY DIRECTIONS before starting work.

  1. Equipment Usage:

    • Avoid using hand-held ultra-low volume controlled droplet applicators (CDA units), boomless jets, or misting machines (except in banana plantations).

  2. Mixing:

    • Add the required product quantity to water in the spray tank and agitate for even mixing. Re-agitate if left standing.

  3. Wetting Agent:

    • The product contains a wetting agent; additional wetter is unnecessary unless high volume spraying results in excessive dilution. Add Rygel Cropwett 1000 if wetter content falls below 400mL per 100L of spray.

  4. Clean Water:

    • Mix only with clean water. Ensure water is free from clay, silt, and algae. Saline water, roof-collected water, bore water, dam water, and creek water may be used if meeting cleanliness requirements.

  5. Application:

    • Cereals and Broadacre Spraying:

      • Use through a calibrated boom spray with flat fan jets, adjusted for double overlap at the top of weeds. Spraying pressures: 200-300kPa, speed: 6–15km/h. Ensure good leaf coverage; adjust spray volumes based on weed density.

    • High Volume Application:

      • Higher volumes needed for coverage in situations other than cereals and broadacre crops.

    • Equipment Cleaning:

      • Wash spray equipment with clean water immediately after use. The product is corrosive to metals, particularly galvanized iron and aluminum.

  6. Compatibility:

    • Combines satisfactorily with specified soil active herbicides and other chemicals. Check compatibility with specific products before mixing.

  7. Spraying Conditions:

    • Avoid spraying stressed plants or those covered with dust. Better results in dull weather or at day's end. Light rain post-spraying won't affect results. Prevent drift into neighboring crops.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • Member of the bipyridyl group with the inhibitor of photosynthesis at Photosystem I mode of action. Group L herbicide. Resistance may develop in some weed biotypes with repeated use. No liability for losses resulting from resistance.

PROTECTION OF CROPS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Do not apply under conditions causing drift onto susceptible plants/crops or near water used for irrigation. Avoid application on or near water used for human consumption, livestock watering, or fishing.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Store in a locked room away from children, animals, food, feedstuffs, seed, and fertilizers. Dispose of rinsed containers properly; do not burn.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

  • Product is very dangerous. Poisonous if swallowed. Irritates nose, throat, and skin. Attacks eyes; protect them while using. Wear protective gear during handling.

WHEN MIXING AND USING:

  • Wear appropriate protective clothing and a face shield or goggles. Wash exposed skin immediately with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing promptly.

AFTER USE:

  • Wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly with soap and water before eating, drinking, or smoking. Wash gloves, face shield or goggles, and clothing after each day's use.

SPRAY APPLICATION:

  • Avoid working in spray mist. Cease use if skin irritation or nose bleed occurs. Wear protective gear when using misting machines in specific situations.

Always adhere to safety guidelines and follow recommended procedures for storage, handling, and disposal.
