GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide
Product Overview:
- eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide is a selective herbicide effective against most annual grasses and certain broadleaved weeds.
- It controls weeds by inhibiting seedling development and is not effective against established weeds.
- Soil conditions and preparation are crucial for optimal results.
Pre-application Considerations:
- Weed-Free Seedbeds: For best results, seedbeds should be free of weeds, trash, and clods at the time of application.
- Organic Matter: Soils with high organic matter (>6%) may result in poor control; it is recommended to avoid application on such soils.
Crop Injury and Recovery:
- Crop injury may occur in cold, wet weather following planting or on poorly prepared seedbeds.
- Favorable growing conditions usually lead to crop recovery and normal growth.
Staining Precaution:
- eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide will stain (yellow) objects it contacts.
- Keep non-target objects clear of the product and spray to prevent staining.
MIXING:
- When using eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide alone, add it to a partially filled tank, then add the remaining water. Mix thoroughly.
- In tank mixes with atrazine or diuron, mix these products as per their labels, add eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide last, and complete filling the tank.
- Maintain good agitation until spraying is completed.
APPLICATION METHOD:
Ground Application:
- Equipment: Use conventional sprayers with mechanical or bypass agitation. Flat fan nozzles are recommended.
- Calibration: Calibrate equipment for proper application. Nozzle screens should be no finer than 50 mesh for tank mixtures.
- Water Volume: Apply the recommended quantity of eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide in 50 - 200 litres of water per hectare.
- Higher water rates are recommended for pre-emergence surface treatment.
Aerial Application:
- Crops: Suitable for pre-plant soybeans, cotton, sunflowers, peanuts, navy beans, cow peas, mung beans, pigeon peas, and post-plant, post-flushed combine-sown rice.
- Water Volume: Apply the recommended quantity in 25 - 60 litres of water per hectare.
- Calibration: Ensure proper calibration, maintain an even spray pattern, use markers, and adhere to wind speed restrictions.
INCORPORATION:
- Thorough Mixing: Incorporate eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide with soil mechanically, by irrigation, or rainfall.
- Post-plant Pre-emergence: Adequate rainfall or irrigation within 3 - 5 days is essential for incorporation. Light mechanical incorporation may be needed in the absence of rain or irrigation.
- Special Considerations: Maize, carrots, and rice are sensitive; grapevines require incorporation before budswell.
Cereal Seed Dressings:
- Caution: Some fungicidal seed dressings affecting coleoptile length may impact emergence. Ensure good seed depth control.
Weather Conditions at Planting:
- Cold Weather Caution: Crop injury may occur if cold weather follows planting. Recovery is expected with improved conditions.
RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:
- eChem Pendimethalin 330 Herbicide belongs to Group D herbicides with a mode of action inhibiting tubulin formation.
- Resistance management is crucial to avoid dominance of resistant weed biotypes.
COMPATIBILITY:
- Tested Physical Compatibility with various herbicides. Follow specific directions under mixing if tank-mixing with other products.
