DIRECTIONS FOR USE

IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be read carefully in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.

GENERAL INFORMATION

POQUET is a protectant and curative fungicide with translaminar properties for the control of a range of diseases in winter and spring wheat, durum wheat, winter and spring triticale, winter and spring rye, and spelt wheat.
Do not apply more than one application of any product containing fenpicoxamid to any one crop (see Resistance Management section).

RESTRICTIONS / WARNINGS

  • Avoid spray drift onto neighboring crops.

  • After spraying, wash out the sprayer and lines thoroughly according to the instructions in the Mixing and Spraying section and dispose of washings and clean containers according to DEFRA Code of Practice and local authority guidelines.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT

POQUET must always be used in mixture with products that have a different mode of action at a dose that will provide robust control. In line with FRAC guidelines, do not apply more than one foliar application of products containing Quinone inside Inhibitors (QiI) to any cereal crop.
POQUET contains fenpicoxamid, which belongs to FRAC group C4#21 (Inhibition of respiration at complex III; QiI fungicides). It is not cross-resistant to any currently used fungicides in cereals. Use POQUET as part of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy, incorporating other control methods.

For further advice on resistance management, contact your agronomist or advisor and consult the FRAG-UK and FRAC websites.

DISEASE CONTROL

POQUET controls the following diseases:

  • Septoria leaf blotch in wheat and rye

  • Yellow rust in wheat and rye

  • Brown rust in wheat

  • Leaf scald and Rhynchosporium in triticale and rye

Apply POQUET according to the growth stage and disease development in the target crop.

CROPS

POQUET may be used on all commercial varieties of:

  • Winter and spring wheat

  • Durum wheat

  • Rye

  • Triticale

  • Spelt wheat

TIME OF APPLICATION

  • Apply POQUET from growth stage BBCH 30 (beginning of stem elongation).

  • A maximum of one application can be made up to and including the end of flowering (BBCH 69).

  • Best results are achieved when applied before the disease becomes established.

RATE OF APPLICATION

  • Apply 2 litres per hectare in a minimum of 285 litres of water (maximum concentration of 0.7%).

  • Use a spray pressure of 2-3 bar, and ensure the use of horizontal boom sprayers with three-star drift reduction technology.

FOLLOWING CROPS

There are no restrictions on following crops after the use of POQUET.

MIXING AND SPRAYING

  • Half fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation.

  • Shake the container well before use and pour in the required amount of POQUET.

  • Rinse empty containers thoroughly and add the rinsings to the spray tank.

  • Add the remainder of the water and continue agitation until spraying is completed. Spray solution MUST be used on the day of mixing and must NOT be left overnight.

  • Sprayers should be thoroughly cleaned with water and detergent after use. Check filters and nozzles for damage and blockages.

  • Adjust the boom height to ensure even crop coverage, especially at later growth stages.

For tank mixes, each product should be added separately to the spray tank, following any specific mixing instructions.
