GRAPEVINES
Disease: Grey Mould (Botrytis cinerea)
Rate:
Dilute Spraying 133 mL/100 L water (maximum 1.33 L/ha)
Concentrate spraying Flowering* 1.0 to 1.33 L/ha
Post-flowering 1.33 L/ha Refer to the Application section in GENERAL INSTRUCTIONSCritical comments: Applications should be made at the critical timings for botrytis control.
Note: This use is subject to a CropLife Resistance Management Strategy.
Refer to ‘Resistance Management Strategy – Grapevines’ under General Instructions for guidelines.
Apply by dilute or concentrate spraying equipment. Use a sufficient amount of water and/or adequate equipment to ensure penetration of the canopy and coverage of the flowers or bunches. May be used with a non-ionic wetting agent.
* For concentrate spraying at flowering use the high rate on dense canopies or when conditions favour disease.

STRAWBERRIES
Disease: Grey Mould (Botrytis cinerea)
Rate: 1.33L/ha
Critical comments: Apply PREDICT 600 SC during flowering when conditions favour disease development. Repeat at 7 to 10 day intervals alternating with a fungicide of a different chemical group. Use the shorter application interval when disease pressure is high.
Note: This use is subject to CropLife Resistance Management Strategy, which governs the maximum number of applications per season. Refer to ‘Resistance Management Strategy - Strawberries’ under General instructions for guidelines.
Use water volumes of 350 to 1000 L/ha depending on equipment and crop stage to ensure adequate penetration of the canopy and coverage of foliage and flowers and/or fruit. May be used with a non-iconic wetting agent.

BANANAS
State:
Qld, NSW, WA, NT only
Disease: Yellow sigatoka (Mycosphaerella musicola), Leaf Speckle (Mycosphaerella musae), Cordana Leaf Spot (Cordana musae)
Rate: 660 mL/ha plus a high quality (narrow range) water miscible mineral crop oil at 4-5 L/ha
Critical comments: PREDICT 600 SC should be applied as part of a regular program of fungicide sprays, alternating with fungicides from different chemical groups.
For optimum disease control maintain thorough de-leafing practices to reduce disease inoculum. Old leaves and leaves with advanced lesions, or infected parts of the leaf, should be removed regularly and prior to the application of PREDICT 600 SC.
Intervals between fungicide applications generally should be 14-21 days, but should be modified for locality, disease conditions, and leaf emergence or growth rates.
DO NOT mix this product with any type of spray additive with the exception of high quality miscible oil.
PREDICT 600 SC should only be applied with a high quality water miscible mineral crop oil (applied at 4-5 L/ha) and diluted with sufficient water to ensure thorough coverage of all leaf surfaces (minimum 30 L/ha spray volume when applied by air).
The surface of recently emerged fruit is particularly prone to marking damage from spray applications under certain circumstances, including high temperatures, strong direct sunlight and rapid fruit growth. To minimise the risk of fruit marking, it is recommended that all emerged bunches be bagged prior to spraying under such circumstances.
This use is subject to a CropLife resistance management strategy, which limits the total number and the number of consecutive applications of Group 9 fungicides. Please refer to the GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS for details of the resistance management strategy.

POTATOES
Disease: Target Spot (early blight) (Alternaria solani)
Rate: 500 mL PREDICT 600 SC plus 1.04 L Cavalry Weatherguard or 1.5 L Fung-o-nil 500 Flowable per hectare
Critical comments: Potatoes – Apply at 7-14 day intervals as part of a protectant spray program, commencing prior to row closure, or earlier if conditions favour disease development. Use the shorter interval when disease pressure is high. The spray program should incorporate registered products from different fungicide groups.
Note: Restrictions apply to the maximum number of total and consecutive applications of PREDICT 600 SC for the purpose of resistance management. Refer to ‘Resistance Management Strategy’ under General Instructions for full guidelines.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING
PREDICT® 600 SC Fungicide is a member of the anilinopyrimidine group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management PREDICT 600 SC is a Group 9 fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to PREDICT 600 SC and other Group 9 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungi population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by PREDICT 600 SC and other Group 9 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Adama Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of PREDICT 600 SC to control resistant fungi.

Resistance Management Strategy for Potatoes and Tomatoes
PREDICT 600 SC contains a group 9 Fungicide. Restrictions on the use of this group of fungicides limit the number of sprays of PREDICT 600 SC that can be applied in each season.
1. If 3 or less target spot sprays are used per season use only 1 PREDICT 600 SC application.
2. If 4 to 6 target spot sprays are used per season use a maximum of 2 PREDICT 600 SC applications.
3. If 7 or more target spot sprays are used per season use a maximum of 3 PREDICT 600 SC applications.
Do not apply more than two successive sprays of PREDICT 600 SC (programs 2 and 3 only) before changing to a registered product that does not contain a Group 9 Fungicide.

Grapevines
1. If three or fewer grey mould sprays are applied in a season, use only one spray per season containing a Group 9 fungicide. If four or more grey mould sprays are applied use no more than two sprays containing Group 9 fungicides. Alternate applications of Group 9 containing fungicides with effective fungicides from other fungicide groups.
2. Late season fungicide treatments should be applied before grey mould infection reaches unacceptably high levels in the vineyard.
3. DO NOT apply more than two consecutive sprays from the same fungicide group, including from the end of one season to the next.

Strawberries
1. Apply a program of protectant fungicides during flowering. Only use PREDICT 600 SC if conditions favour disease development during this period.
2. Avoid applying more than two successive sprays of PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicides), including from the end of one season to the next.
3. If three or fewer grey mould fungicide sprays are applied per crop, use only one PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicides) spray. If four to six sprays are applied per crop use a maximum of two PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicide) sprays. If seven or more sprays are applied per crop use a maximum of three PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicide) sprays.

Ornamentals
1. Do not apply more than two consecutive sprays of PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicides), including from the end of one season to the next.
2. If three or fewer grey mould fungicide sprays are applied per crop, use only one PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicide) spray. If four to six sprays are applied per crop use a maximum of two sprays of PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicides). If seven or more sprays are applied per crop use a maximum of three PREDICT 600 SC (or other Group 9 fungicide) sprays.

Bananas
1. Do not make more than two consecutive applications of PREDICT 600 SC or other Group 9 fungicides before changing to a fungicide belonging to a different activity group.
2. After making two consecutive applications of Group 9 fungicides, follow with at least two applications of fungicides belonging to a different activity group before resuming with a Group 9 fungicide.
3. The total number of Group 9 fungicides which may be applied to a banana block in a 12 month period is limited to 6 for tropical regions and 5 for sub-tropical regions.

Integrated Pest Management
PREDICT 600 SC is suitable for use in IPM programmes.
PREDICT 600 SC is harmless to predators in situations where integrated mite control is practised. When tank-mixed with CAVALRY in potatoes and tomatoes, PREDICT 600 SC may be a hazard to adult parasitic wasps (Trichogramma cacoeciae).

Export of Treated Produce
Growers should note that suitable MRLs or import tolerances may not be established in all markets for bananas, potatoes and tomatoes treated with PREDICT 600 SC Fungicide. If you are growing strawberries or grapes for export (either fresh, dried or as wine), please check with Adama Australia Pty Ltd or the Australian Wine Research Institute (in the case of wine), for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances BEFORE using PREDICT 600 SC.

MIXING
Add the required amount of PREDICT 600 SC directly to the half-filled spray tank with agitators in motion, or with constant mechanical agitation. Complete filling of spray tank under constant agitation. Do not allow the spray mixture to remain in the tank for long periods without agitation.
TANK MIXTURES: Read and follow all label directions including restraints, spray drift restraints, mandatory no-spray zones, critical comments, withholding periods, regional use restrictions and safety directions for the tank mix products.

APPLICATION
NOT to be applied by aircraft to Grapevines, Strawberries, Ornamentals, or Tomatoes.
Ground application
Grapevines - PREDICT 600 SC can be applied using suitable dilute or concentrate ground application equipment. Equipment should produce a spray that ensures penetration of the canopy and coverage of the flowers or bunches. For water volume see section below “Special Instructions for Grapevines”.
Strawberries – PREDICT 600 SC can be applied using suitable high or low volume application equipment. Use water volumes of
350 to 1000 L/ha and select appropriate equipment that produces a spray that ensures penetration of the canopy and coverage of the flowers and/or fruit.
Ornamentals – PREDICT 600 SC can be applied using suitable high volume ground or hand-held application equipment. Apply PREDICT 600 SC to the point of ‘run-off’ using equipment that produces a spray that ensures penetration of the canopy and coverage of the foliage and flowers.
Bananas - Apply PREDICT 600 SC in sufficient water volume and with a sprayer set-up to ensure even and thorough coverage of leaf surfaces. PREDICT 600 SC requires the addition of a high quality (narrow range) water miscible mineral crop oil. As formulations of mineral spray oils are beyond the control of Adama Australia Pty Ltd please refer to Adama, your chemical reseller, aerial applicator or the manufacturer of the oil to ensure that it is physically and biologically compatible with PREDICT 600 SC before applying.
Potatoes and Tomatoes - PREDICT 600 SC can be applied with all commonly used spray equipment that is fitted with mechanical or hydraulic agitation. Equipment should produce a fine uniform spray coverage of all above-ground plant (leaves, stems and fruit) surfaces. PREDICT 600 SC should be applied in a minimum water volume of 200 L/ha.

Aerial application
DO NOT apply by aircraft to Grapevines, Strawberries, Ornamentals or Tomatoes.
Bananas - Apply at least 30 litre of spray mixture per hectare for aerial application.
Potatoes - PREDICT 600 SC may be applied by aircraft for target spot control in potatoes. PREDICT 600 SC is to be applied from an aircraft that has been calibrated for the prevailing conditions. Apply as a FINE/MEDIUM spray as defined by ASAE S572 standard. To obtain effective results thorough coverage is essential. PREDICT 600 SC should be applied in a minimum water volume of 50 L/ha. Lower application volumes have not been evaluated. DO NOT apply PREDICT 600 SC tank mixed with CAVALRY Weatherguard or Fung-o-nil 500 SC within 100 m of any downwind natural water body.

PRECAUTIONS
Bananas: Do not use human flaggers/markers unless they are protected by engineering controls such as enclosed cabs.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR GRAPEVINES
Dilute spraying
-- Use a sprayer designed to apply high spray volumes, up to the point of run-off and matched to the crop being sprayed.
-- Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy. Apply sufficient spray volume to cover the crop to the point of run-off. Avoid excessive run-off.
-- The required spray volume to achieve point of run-off may be determined by applying different test volumes, using different settings on the sprayer, or from industry guidelines or other expert advice.
-- Add the amount of product specified in the Directions for Use table for each 100 L of water. However, if greater than 1000 L/ha is required to achieve point of run-off, adjust the amount of product added for each 100 L of water to ensure no more than 1.33 L/ha product is applied. Spray to the point of run-off.
-- The required dilute spray volume to achieve point of run-off will change and the sprayer set up and operation may also need to be changed, as the crop grows.
Concentrate spraying
-- Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying (that is a sprayer which applies spray volumes less than those required to reach the point of run-off) and matched to the crop being sprayed.
-- Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen spray volume.
-- Based on your chosen spray volume per hectare, and the amount of product specified in the Direction for Use table for each hectare, calculate the mixing rate for concentrate spraying.
-- The chosen spray volume and the sprayer set up and operation may need to be changed as the crop grows.
-- For further information on concentrate spraying, users are advised to consult relevant industry guidelines, undertake appropriate competency training and follow industry Best Practices.
