GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PTERODACTYL 900 WG HERBICIDE
Application Timing:
- Apply before weed seeds germinate.
- Best results are obtained when cultivating and seeding/planting on the same day.
- Do not apply more than 3 days after cultivation.
- If weeds have emerged, weed or cultivate, and water before application.
Soil Preparation:
- Soil should be moist to the surface during application.
- Ensure thorough preparation to a fine, even tilth, free of or low in trash.
- Seed or transplant within 24 hours of final cultivation.
- Spray immediately after seeding, transplanting, or lay-by cultivation.
- Use sprinkler irrigation immediately after spraying or furrow irrigation until soil is wet.
- Shallow soil incorporation may improve effectiveness if rain or irrigation is unlikely.
Mixing:
- PTERODACTYL 900 WG mixes readily with water.
- Fill the tank with clean water to 60-75% of the final volume.
- Add the required quantity slowly to the spray vat with agitation running.
- Do not dump PTERODACTYL 900 WG into the tank.
- Continue filling the tank to the final volume and wait until fully dispersed before spraying.
- Agitation should be maintained during the entire spraying operation.
- If settled, stir and re-suspend any material before use.
Resistance Warning:
- PTERODACTYL 900 WG belongs to the Benzoic acid group of herbicides.
- It has the inhibitors of tubulin formation mode of action.
- Group 3 Herbicide for weed resistance management.
Crop Plant Back:
- Do not plant crops other than those on the label within 8 months of application.
- Onions or potatoes may result in crop injury if replanting is required due to early crop failure.
- All crops on the label can be planted following harvest of a crop treated with PTERODACTYL 900 WG.
Crop Safety:
- PTERODACTYL 900 WG will not harm crops for which its use is recommended under proper conditions.
- Conditions like high salt concentration, seedling diseases, extreme weather, or planting practices may increase the risk of herbicide damage.
- Test crop safety on a small area under adverse conditions.
Storage and Disposal:
- Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
- Do not store in direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Triple rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of per local authority codes.
- Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
- Follow regulations for recycling or waste management facilities.
Safety Directions:
- Will irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact.
- Do not inhale dust.
- Wear protective clothing, goggles, gloves, and a dust face mask during handling.
- Wash hands and contaminated clothing after use.
