GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide is an emulsifiable concentrate herbicide used post emergence for the control of certain grass weeds in specified broadleaf crops. It is a systemic herbicide that is rapidly absorbed and readily translocates from the treated foliage to the root system and growing points of the plant. Applications made to grass weeds stressed due to insufficient moisture or cold temperatures may result in unsatisfactory control.

Resistant Weeds Warning: Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide belongs to the "Fop" (aryloxyphenoxy propianate) group of herbicides with the inhibitors of acetyl coA carboxylase mode of action. For weed resistance management, it is classified as a Group A herbicide. There's a risk of naturally occurring weed biotypes developing resistance to Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide and other Group A herbicides if used repeatedly. These resistant weeds won't be controlled by Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide. Detection of resistant weeds before use is challenging, and Genfarm Crop Protection holds no liability for losses resulting from resistance. Consult with farm chemical suppliers, consultants, or local agriculture departments for strategies to minimize herbicide resistance.

Time of Application: For maximum benefit, spray weeds when young and actively growing. Applications can be made at any stage of crop growth (except to curcurbit crops), but allow sufficient time for the prescribed withholding period before harvest, grazing, or cutting for stockfeed. Do not apply Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide to curcurbit crops before the five true leaf stage.

Spray Preparation: If spray equipment was previously used for sulfonylurea herbicides, follow the recommended cleanup procedure before using it for Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide. Mix Genfarm QPE 100 directly into the spray tank. If tank mixing with carbendazim or mancozeb fungicides, add them first and mix before adding Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide.

Use of a Surfactant/Wetting Agent: Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide may be used with a non-ionic surfactant (1000 gai/L strength) at specified rates. Two adjuvant systems are provided, depending on the application: a combination of non-ionic surfactant and mineral spray oil, or non-ionic surfactant alone. Do not use the non-ionic surfactant + mineral oil system on vegetable crops. Do not use non-methylated spray oils of crop origin as spray adjuvants.

Compatibilities: Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide is compatible with specific insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides depending on the adjuvant system used. Follow guidelines for each system carefully to avoid issues.

Ground Spraying: Use sprayers with flat fan or hollow cone nozzles at specified pressures for an even distribution of droplets. Adjust boom and nozzle height for proper coverage. Thoroughly clean all traces of Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide from equipment immediately after use. Failure to do so may result in injury to subsequently sprayed crops.

Precaution: Re-entry: Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried. When prior entry is necessary, wear chemical-resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day's use.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS: Do not plant cereal crops into the treated area for 18 weeks after application. Avoid application under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT: Avoid contaminating streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in the closed original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Do not store tank mixes of Genfarm QPE 100 Herbicide with other materials. Rinse containers before disposal, and follow recommended disposal practices. Avoid burning empty containers and undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, return clean containers to designated collection points. If not recycling, bury empty containers in a landfill.
