GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide is an emulsifiable concentrate herbicide used post-emergence for controlling certain grass weeds in specified broadleaf crops. It is a systemic herbicide, rapidly absorbed, and readily translocates from treated foliage to the plant's root system and growing points. It is crucial to apply the herbicide to young and actively growing weeds for maximum effectiveness.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide belongs to the "Fop" (aryloxyphenoxy propionate) group of herbicides, with the inhibitors of acetyl coA carboxylase mode of action. Classified as a Group A herbicide, there's a risk of naturally occurring weed biotypes developing resistance. Consult with farm chemical suppliers, consultants, or local agriculture departments for strategies to minimize herbicide resistance.

Time of Application:

For optimal results, spray weeds when they are young and actively growing. While application can occur at any stage of crop growth (except for curcurbit crops), ensure sufficient time for the prescribed withholding period before harvest, grazing, or cutting for stockfeed. Do not apply AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide to curcurbit crops before the five true leaf stage.

Spray Preparation:

If spray equipment has been used for sulfonylurea herbicides previously, follow the recommended cleanup procedure before using it for AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide. Mix the herbicide directly into the spray tank. If tank-mixing with carbendazim or mancozeb fungicides, add them first and mix thoroughly before adding AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide.

Use of a Surfactant/Wetting Agent:

AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide may be used with either of the following adjuvant systems:

  1. A non-ionic surfactant (1000 gai/L strength) at 100 mL/100L (i.e., 0.1% v/v) and a mineral spray oil at 1 L/100 L of final spray volume (i.e., 1% v/v).
  2. A non-ionic surfactant (1000 gai/L strength) at 200 mL/100L of final spray volume (i.e., 0.2% v/v). Do not use the non-ionic surfactant + mineral oil adjuvant system on vegetable crops; use a non-ionic surfactant only. Do not use a spray oil alone; a surfactant must always be added. Do not use non-methylated spray oils of crop origin as spray adjuvants.

Compatibilities:

AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide is compatible with specific insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides, depending on the adjuvant system used. Follow guidelines for each system carefully to avoid issues.

Ground Spraying:

Use sprayers with flat fan or hollow cone nozzles at specified pressures for an even distribution of droplets. Adjust boom and nozzle height for proper coverage. Thoroughly clean all traces of AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide from equipment immediately after use. Failure to do so may result in injury to subsequently sprayed crops.

Precaution: Re-entry:

Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried. When prior entry is necessary, wear chemical-resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day's use.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS:

Do not plant cereal crops into the treated area for 18 weeks after application. Avoid application under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

Avoid contaminating streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

Store in the closed original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store tank mixes of AgVantage QPE 100 EC Herbicide with other materials. When storing, keep it away from contact with fertilizers, fungicides, and seeds. The container can be recycled if clean, dry, free of visible residues, and has the drumMUSTER logo visible. Triple rinse containers for disposal and follow recommended disposal practices. Do not burn empty containers and undiluted chemicals on-site. If not recycling, deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility or bury it according to regulations.
