GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide is an emulsifiable concentrate herbicide designed for post-emergence use in controlling specific grass weeds in specified broadleaf crops. It acts as a systemic herbicide, swiftly absorbed and translocated from treated foliage to the root system and growing points of the plant. Applications to stressed grass weeds, due to insufficient moisture or cold temperatures, may result in unsatisfactory control.

Time of Application

For optimal results, spray young and actively growing weeds. Application can be made at any stage of crop growth (except for curcurbit crops), but ensure sufficient time for the prescribed withholding period before harvest, grazing, or cutting for stockfeed.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT apply AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide to curcurbit crops before the five true leaf stage.

Spray Preparation

  • If spray equipment has been previously used for sulfonylurea herbicides, follow the recommended sprayer equipment procedure for the previously applied product before using it for AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide.
  • AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide is an emulsifiable concentrate to be mixed with water and applied as a spray. Add the required amount directly to the spray tank and mix well.
  • If mixing with mancozeb or carbendazim, add them to the spray tank and mix thoroughly before adding AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide.
  • If the spray solution has been left standing for more than 3 hours, ensure thorough re-agitation before spraying.

Use of a Surfactant/Wetting Agent

AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide may be used with the following adjuvant systems:

  1. Methylated and/or ethylated seed crop oil (e.g., Hasten#) at 1L/100L of the final spray volume.
  2. Smart Wet 1000 (non-ionic surfactant, 1000g/L) at 200 mL/100L of the final spray volume.

Incompatibilities

DO NOT use AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide with mineral-based crop oils or non-methylated spray oils of crop origin as spray adjuvants.

Compatibilities

AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide is compatible with herbicides such as sethoxydim and clethodim. It is also compatible with insecticides, fungicides, and certain herbicides when using the appropriate adjuvant system.

Ground Spraying

Use 50-100 liters of prepared spray/ha, increasing to 150 liters in dense crop canopies. Utilize flat fan or hollow cone nozzles at 210-350 kPa for even droplet distribution.

Sprayer Cleanup

Thoroughly clean all traces of AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide from equipment immediately after use to prevent injury to subsequently sprayed cereal and grass crops.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide is a Group A Herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to AC Quiza PE 200 Herbicide and other Group A Herbicides may exist. Detection of resistant weeds before use is difficult, and Axichem Pty Limited accepts no liability for losses resulting from failure to control resistant weeds.

PRECAUTION: RE-ENTRY

Do not allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried. When prior entry is necessary, wear chemical-resistant gloves, and launder clothing after each day's use.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS

  • Do not plant cereal crops in the treated area for 18 weeks after application.
  • Avoid application under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT

  • Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL (20L only)

  • Do not store tank-mixes with other materials.
  • Store in the closed original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
  • Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal.
  • If recycling, return the clean container to the recycler.
  • If not recycling, bury empty containers in a designated disposal pit.

Refillable Containers: (1000L only)

  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
  • Empty contents fully into application equipment.
  • Close all valves and return to the point of supply for refill or storage.
