GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING: Ramdon 242 Herbicide may be mixed with water only. Mix only sufficient chemical for each day’s use and avoid storing the mix. Half fill the spray tank with water and add the required quantity of Ramdon 242 Herbicide and complete filling. Agitate continuously to ensure thorough mixing before and during application. Tank mixtures should follow a specific order: wettable powder or dry flowable formulations first, followed by suspension concentrates, water-soluble salts, and emulsifiable concentrate formulations. Add spraying oils and surfactants last, if required.

COMPATIBILITY: Ramdon 242 Herbicide is compatible with various herbicides, insecticides, and adjuvants. Broadleaf herbicides, grass herbicides, and insecticides can be used in combination. It is important to read and follow all label directions, restraints, plant-back periods, withholding periods, and safety directions on both Ramdon 242 Herbicide and partner labels.

APPLICATION METHODS:

Ground Application (Boom): Apply Ramdon 242 Herbicide with an accurately calibrated boom sprayer in at least 50 L/ha water. Do not apply with smaller than medium to coarse spray droplets.

Aerial Application: Apply in a minimum volume of 35 L/ha water. Use calibrated equipment and avoid applying with smaller than medium to coarse spray droplets. Aerial application should only be done when the wind speed is between 3 to 15 km/hr, and the air temperature is above 30°C, or when the wind is blowing away from susceptible crops.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT: After using Ramdon 242 Herbicide, thoroughly clean the spray equipment. Rinse water should be discharged onto a designated disposal area. Rinse the tank, pump, lines, hoses, and nozzles. For decontamination, use an alkali detergent.

RESISTANCE WARNING: Ramdon 242 Herbicide is a Group I Herbicide, containing members of the pyridine and phenoxy groups. It has the disruptors of plant cell growth mode of action. For weed resistance management, the product should not be used repeatedly to avoid the dominance of resistant weeds.

MINIMUM RECROPPING PERIODS: Picloram, one of the active constituents, remains active in the soil for extended periods. The plant-back periods for rotational crops depend on factors like soil type, rainfall, temperature, and more. Different regions have specific plant-back periods for crops like wheat, barley, canola, chickpea, faba bean, lucerne, and others.

PROTECTIONS:

  • Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, or pastures.

  • Crops and plants susceptible to Ramdon 242 Herbicide include clovers, medics, lupins, peas, cotton, flowers, hops, grape and kiwifruit vines, ornamentals, potatoes, safflower, shade trees, sugarbeet, tobacco, tree fruits, and vegetables.

  • Do not apply close to or on areas containing roots of desirable vegetation or where soil may be washed into contact with susceptible crops or plants.

  • Do not move treated soil to areas where desirable plants are to be grown.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT: Avoid contaminating streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Triple or pressure rinse containers before disposal. If recycling, return clean containers to a recycler. If not recycling, dispose of empty packaging at an approved waste management facility. Do not burn empty containers or product.

SMALL SPILL MANAGEMENT: Wear protective equipment. Apply absorbent material to the spill and sweep up for disposal. Wash the spill area with an alkali detergent and water if necessary, and absorb the wash liquid for disposal.
