GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Not Required When Used as Directed After Application:

    • Do not graze or cut for stock feed within 8 weeks.

    • SABAKEM™ RECKON-B 275EC HERBICIDE is a post-emergent contact herbicide, providing residual control of wild radish for up to 4 weeks after application.

    • Apply SABAKEM™ RECKON-B 275EC HERBICIDE immediately after mixing. Do not allow it to stand in the spray tank overnight.

    • Optimal results are obtained with good soil moisture at and after application, and when weeds are not stressed.

    • Some pre-emergence herbicides, such as atrazine, may cause stress to certain crops, resulting in crop damage and reduced tolerance, particularly in Mediterranean and subterranean clover.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • SABAKEM™ RECKON-B 275EC HERBICIDE belongs to the nitrile and triazinone groups of herbicides. It's crucial to manage weed resistance as resistant weed biotypes may exist, which won't be controlled by this herbicide or other Group C, F herbicides.

Temperature Warning:

  • Do not apply if frosts are imminent. Frost can cause stress on crops and weeds, leading to increased crop effects and/or decreased weed control.

Crop Tolerance:

  • Cereals: Transient crop yellowing may occur after application, usually appearing as yellow or white banding on leaves. Crop development and subsequent growth should be unaffected if the crop is not under stress.

  • Lucerne: Tolerance varies with factors like application rate, soil type, crop health, and stage of growth. Some varieties may experience transient crop yellowing and growth suppression, but subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected under normal conditions.

  • Subterranean Clover: Tolerance varies with factors like application rate, soil type, crop health, and stage of growth. Some varieties may experience transient crop yellowing and growth suppression, but subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected under normal conditions.

  • Other Clovers: Tolerance varies with factors like application rate, soil type, crop health, and stage of growth. Some varieties may experience transient crop yellowing and growth suppression, but subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected under normal conditions.

Subsequent Crops:

  • Thoroughly cultivate the soil before sowing subsequent susceptible crops (e.g., canola) to reduce the herbicide's effect.

Mixing:

  • Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and add the required amount of product. Agitate thoroughly during spraying operations. Reseal partially used containers immediately after use.

Application:

  • Boom Sprayer: Use a minimum of 50 L water/ha, with recommended rates of 70-100 L/ha for optimal results. Increase water volume for heavy weed infestation or dense crop cover. Complete coverage of weeds is essential. Higher water volumes (up to 100 L/ha) ensure faster product activity but may increase crop damage symptoms.
