GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

GROUP 0 HERBICIDE

Apparent Rocky 745 Herbicide is a member of the alkanoic acids group of herbicides. It operates through the inhibitor of fat synthesis mode of action. For weed resistance management, Apparent Rocky 745 Herbicide is classified as a Group 0 Herbicide.

Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Apparent Rocky 745 Herbicide and other Group 0 herbicides may exist due to normal genetic variability in any weed population. Resistant individuals can dominate the weed population with repeated use of these herbicides. Such resistant weeds will not be controlled by Apparent Rocky 745 Herbicide or any other Group 0 herbicides.

Since detecting resistant weeds before use is challenging, Apparent Pty Ltd disclaims liability for any losses resulting from the failure of Apparent Rocky 745 Herbicide to control resistant weeds.

Important

  • This product acts slowly, and control of existing growth may take 3 - 12 months, depending on weather conditions and senescence of plant foliage.
  • The length of satisfactory residual control depends on soil type and rainfall until regeneration occurs from grass seed or surviving rhizomes.
  • Apparent Rocky 745 Herbicide is prone to leaching and movement in the soil under heavy rainfall or irrigation, and dry conditions favor its persistence in the soil.
  • Avoid use in channels, drains, or areas where roots of desirable plants may extend, and in situations where desirable plants grow close to the treated area.
  • Control of grasses in shaded conditions may be reduced.
  • Subterranean clover and other annual legumes may be damaged if exposed to the spray or if they germinate before product residues dissipate from the soil. Do not treat pasture land with this product more than once per year.

Mixing

This product is highly soluble in water; add the required amount directly to the spray tank while stirring or with the agitator running. When used with dispersible powders, make a slurry first and then add to the half-filled spray tank with the agitator running. Add the required quantity of product and continue filling until the spray tank is full. Maintain good agitation during spraying.

Wetting agent

Add 100 mL of a non-ionic surfactant (600 g/L) per 100 liters of spray.

Compatibility

This product may be mixed with Glyphosate to improve knockdown of existing vegetation.

Application

  • Boom spray equipment should be carefully calibrated to deliver the required spray volume, ensuring nozzles provide a uniform spray pattern.

Paddock Preparation

  • Graze to reduce cover of desirable species for spraying.

Re-seeding

  • Desirable pasture species may be sown after at least 100 mm of leaching rain. If drought conditions persist, defer sowing until the next season.

Clean up

  • Clean equipment thoroughly after use.
