GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • Sabakem MCPA 500 Selective Herbicide belongs to the phenoxy group of herbicides and is a Group I herbicide. Proper resistance management is essential to prevent dominance of resistant weeds. Limit consecutive applications and use alternative herbicides to prevent resistance.

Timing:

  • Spray weeds while actively growing and at their most susceptible stage. Avoid extremes of cold or drought. Apply under conditions of moist soil, fine weather, and rain unlikely within 6-8 hours after application. Follow specific guidelines for different weed types and stages.

Mixing:

  • Mix Sabakem MCPA 500 Selective Herbicide readily with water. Half fill the spray tank with clean water, add the required amount of herbicide, and agitate thoroughly before adding the remainder of the water.

Application:

  • Calibrate the sprayer to ensure correct application rate. Use higher water volumes for heavy weed infestation or dense crop cover. Adjust application rates based on the type of crop or pasture. Employ proper equipment maintenance and usage guidelines.

Compatibility/Tank Mixes:

  • Sabakem MCPA 500 Selective Herbicide can be mixed with compatible products such as carfentrazone-ethyl, dicamba, and chlorsulfuron. Use caution when tank mixing with certain products to maintain effectiveness.

Spray-Grazing Warning:

  • Exercise caution when using spray-grazing technique, as sprayed weeds may become more palatable to livestock, potentially causing stock deaths or other problems. Take care with certain pasture weeds like Paterson’s Curse. Avoid grazing with young or breeding stock, horses, or pigs on certain weeds.

Protection of Native and Other Non-Target Plants:

  • Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures. Equipment used with Sabakem MCPA 500 should not be used for other materials susceptible to MCPA.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area away from children, animals, food, and feedstuffs. Dispose of containers properly according to label instructions.

Safety Directions:

  • Harmful if swallowed. Wear appropriate protective clothing, including goggles and gloves, during handling and application. Wash thoroughly after use and avoid contact with eyes and skin.
