Directions for Use:

Restraints:

  • Aircraft Application: DO NOT apply by aircraft.

  • Foliar Sprays: Limit to a maximum of 3 foliar sprays per season. If water volumes exceed 2000 L/ha, limit to 1 foliar spray per season.

  • Soil Application: Limit to one soil application per grape block per season. DO NOT apply soil and foliar applications on the same grape block in the same season.

  • Weather Conditions: DO NOT apply if heavy rains or storms are forecast within 3 days.

  • Irrigation: DO NOT irrigate to the point of run-off for at least 3 days after application.

  • Run-off Management: DO NOT allow first-flush irrigation tailwater or storm run-off from treated soil to enter natural waterways.

Spray Drift Restraints:

  • Ensure bystanders do not come into contact with the spray cloud.

  • Avoid unacceptable impact on native vegetation, agricultural crops, landscaped gardens, and aquaculture production from spray drift.

  • Maintain wind speed between 3 and 20 kilometers per hour during application.

  • Avoid hazardous surface temperature inversion conditions during application.

  • Use vertical sprayers only if certain requirements are met, including observing mandatory downwind buffer zones.

Mixing:

  • Measure the required amount of product to a partially filled spray tank and then add the remainder of the water. Maintain agitation during tank filling and spraying.

Compatibility:

  • Test water quality and all mixtures before mixing commercial quantities.

Application:

  • Apply only by ground equipment.

  • Ensure equipment is calibrated to provide good coverage at the correct volume.

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high volumes of water up to the point of run-off. Apply evenly throughout the crop canopy.

  • Determine the required water volume based on industry guidelines or expert advice.

  • Add the specified amount of product per 100 L of water and spray to the point of run-off.

  • Adjust spray volume and equipment setup as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying and matched to the crop being sprayed.

  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume for the crop canopy to calculate the concentrate mixing rate.

  • Adjust spray volume, product amount, and equipment setup as the crop grows.

Wetting Agent:

  • Add MAXX Organosilicone Surfactant at the specified rate. DO NOT exceed this rate.

  • MAXX surfactant may cause russeting on pears and apples under certain conditions. Use with caution.

  • Avoid using MAXX surfactant within 7 days of applying copper-based or nutritional products to fruit.

Insecticide Resistance Warning:

  • SAMURAI is a Group 4A insecticide. Resistance may develop in insect populations with repeated use.

  • Use SAMURAI as part of a resistance management strategy. Consult local experts for guidance.

Protection of Crops, Native, and Non-Target Plants:

  • Avoid applying when relevant non-target terrestrial plants are downwind within the no-spray zone.
