GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Farmalinx SAYONARA 10 GR Herbicide is a selective pre-emergent herbicide designed for controlling weeds in established turf. It interferes with cell division in the root tips of newly germinated weeds, providing residual control.

Application:

  • Use a properly calibrated granular spreader for uniform application.

  • Calibrate the applicator according to the manufacturer's instructions and check frequently to ensure proper functioning.

  • Activation by at least 6 mm of rainfall or irrigation within 7 days after application is crucial for effective weed control.

  • Granular application minimizes drift, facilitates ease of use, adds beneficial nutrients to the turf, and reduces exposure to the product.

Replanting Interval:

  • Do not replant any crops, ornamentals, or overseed with cool-season grasses for winter cover in treated areas for 6 months after application.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • SAYONARA 10 GR belongs to the dinitroaniline group of herbicides and is a Group 3 herbicide.

  • Some weed biotypes resistant to SAYONARA 10 GR and other Group 3 herbicides may exist, which may dominate the weed population if these herbicides are overused.

  • Consult local authorities or Farmalinx representatives for advice on strategies and alternative treatments to manage resistant weeds.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM):

  • Potential effects of SAYONARA 10 GR on IPM strategies in the turf industry have not been extensively studied at proposed rates.

  • It may have adverse effects on non-target beneficial turfgrass invertebrates where IPM is practiced.

Precautions:

  • Re-entry is acceptable on day 0, and no acute post-application risks are associated with exposure to the granules.

  • Do not apply or drain equipment near native or non-target trees or plants, where the chemical may contact their roots.

Overall, following proper application procedures and considering precautions will ensure effective weed control while minimizing risks to non-target plants and organisms.
