GENERAL INFORMATION
SHIFT contains cyprodinil and fludioxonil. Best results are achieved when SHIFT is used as a protectant or at the first stages of fungal disease development.
RESTRICTIONS
All crops: Consult processors before using on crops grown for processing.
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
To ensure high levels of protection and reduce the risk of developing less sensitive strains, SHIFT should be used in alternation with fungicides that have different modes of action and are also effective against the target organism. SHIFT contains cyprodinil, an anilinopyrimidine (AP) chemical. Application should follow the FRAC anilinopyrimidine (AP) working group Botrytis guidelines:
Where up to 3 applications are made per season, limit the number of AP products to 1.
If 4-6 Botrytis treatments are required, a maximum of 2 applications with AP-containing products is recommended.
In situations where 7 or more Botrytis treatments are needed, a maximum of 3 applications with AP-containing products is recommended, with no more than two consecutive applications.
MIXING AND SPRAYING
Ensure the sprayer is clean and properly calibrated. Apply using appropriate water volumes for the crop, using a medium quality spray (as defined by BCPC guidelines) to ensure good coverage at a pressure of at least 2 bar.
Half-fill the spray tank with clean water and start agitation.
Add the recommended amount of SHIFT to the sprayer using a filling device or by directly adding the product to the spray tank.
Wash out empty containers and add the washings to the spray tank.
Complete filling the tank and maintain agitation during spraying.
Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for prolonged periods (i.e., overnight or meal breaks). Only prepare the required quantity of spray.
AFTER SPRAYING
Thoroughly clean the sprayer according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Dispose of washings and empty containers according to DEFRA Code of Practice and local water authority guidelines.
