GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING

Shake the container prior to opening. Fill two-thirds of the spray tank with clean water, and with the agitator operating, add the required quantity of SKOPE. Top up the spray tank to the required volume with clean water with the agitator running. Add the required quantity of adjuvant after mixing is complete and the spray tank is filled to the required level. Maintain agitation while spraying.

APPLICATION

  • Ground Application: Ensure thorough coverage of foliage. Apply in a spray volume of 80-100 L/ha.

  • Aerial Application: Ensure thorough coverage of foliage. Apply using a minimum 20 L/ha spray volume.

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING

For insecticide resistance management, SKOPE Insecticide is a Group 4A and Group 6 Insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to SKOPE and other Group 4A and Group 6 insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability in any insect population. Repeated use of one particular insecticide or insecticides from the same chemical group can lead to the early development of insect resistance to that insecticide or chemical group. The effectiveness of SKOPE on resistant individuals could be significantly reduced. Resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if SKOPE and other Group 4A and/or Group 6 insecticides are used repeatedly. SKOPE should not be applied more than two times per season and do not apply as consecutive applications. Since the occurrence of resistant individuals is difficult to detect prior to use, Adama Australia accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of SKOPE to control resistant insects. SKOPE may be subject to specific resistance management strategies. For further information, contact your local supplier, Adama representative, or local agricultural department agronomist.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS

DO NOT apply under weather conditions, or from spraying equipment, that may cause drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops, cropping lands, or pastures.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT

Very toxic to aquatic life. DO NOT contaminate wetlands or watercourses with this product or used containers.

PROTECTION OF HONEY BEES AND OTHER INSECT POLLINATORS

Highly toxic to bees. Will kill bees foraging in the crop to be treated or in hives that are oversprayed or reached by spray drift. Residues remain toxic to bees for 11 days after application. DO NOT spray any plants in flower while bees are foraging. Before spraying, notify beekeepers to move hives to a safe location with an untreated source of nectar if there is potential for bees to be affected by the spray or spray drift.

INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT (IPM)

Toxic to beneficial arthropods. Not compatible with integrated pest management (IPM) programs utilizing beneficial arthropods. Minimize spray drift to reduce harmful effects on beneficial arthropods in non-crop areas.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. This container can be recycled if it is clean, dry, free of visible residues, and has the drumMUSTER logo visible. Triple-rinse container for disposal. Dispose of rinsate by adding it to the spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemical on-site. Wash outside of the container and the cap. Store cleaned container in a sheltered place with the cap removed. It will then be acceptable for recycling at any drumMUSTER collection or similar container management program site. The cap should not be replaced but may be taken separately. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the empty packaging 500 mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose, clear of waterways, desirable vegetation, and tree roots, in compliance with relevant local, state, or territory government regulations. Do not burn empty containers or product.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

Harmful if swallowed. Will irritate the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes. When opening the container and preparing the product for use, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing), elbow-length chemical-resistant gloves, and goggles. If product or spray gets in eyes, wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use. After each day’s use, wash gloves, goggles, and contaminated clothing.
