General Instructions

Mode of Action AC SNARL 510 Herbicide is a water-soluble liquid herbicide with non-selective properties, effective against a broad spectrum of emerged annual and perennial weeds. It provides no residual activity and is inactivated upon soil contact. The herbicide is absorbed by plant leaves and stems, translocating throughout the plant to the root system. It inhibits a plant enzyme, leading to a breakdown in the metabolic pathway, resulting in plant death. Visual effects include gradual wilting, yellowing, and complete browning.

Visual Effects Timelines

  • For annual weeds: 3-7 days
  • For perennial weeds: 14-21 days The appearance of effects varies based on translocation speed influenced by climatic conditions.

Optimal Application Conditions Best results are obtained when plants are actively growing and not stressed by factors such as disease, waterlogging, insect damage, or drought. Delay spraying if rain is expected to ensure adequate absorption. Rain within 6 hours may reduce efficacy, and heavy rain within 2 hours may require re-treatment. Do not treat dusty or dew-covered plants.

Crop Establishment For weed control before establishing a new crop or pasture, ensure a suitable seed bed is present. Lightly covered weeds may allow same-day sowing, while areas with significant dead weed matter require preparation before sowing.

Mixing and Application

Application Methods:

  • Boom spray, air, knapsack, handgun, or wiper application.

Boom Application:

  • Spray volumes of 25-100L water/ha with a fan nozzle at 240-280kPa.

Wiper Application:

  • Use ropewick, canvas, carpet, or felt applicators.
  • Operate at least 10cm above the crop, applying at speeds not exceeding 8 km/h.
  • Make two applications in opposite directions for optimal results.

Aerial Application:

  • Apply a minimum spray volume of 20L/ha for Micronair and boom equipment.
  • Droplet size: 250-350 micron, swath width: 15-17 meters.
  • Aerial application is recommended in pasture, fallow, or pre-harvest sorghum situations.
  • Increase spray volume to 30-80L/ha on sloping ground.

Application in Hot Conditions:

  • Increase water volume to at least 30L/ha and droplet size to 300 micron VMD when the temperature reaches 25°C.
  • DO NOT use by air in temperatures above 30°C.

Surfactant:

  • Addition of surfactant may improve weed control in high water rate or low product rate situations.
  • Recommended surfactant rates: 200mL/100L of 1000g/L non-ionic surfactant or 250-500mL of 700g/L surfactant.
  • DO NOT add spraying oils, agricultural chemicals, or any unauthorized materials.

Mixing:

  1. Ensure a clean spray tank.
  2. Half-fill the tank with clean water and add AC SNARL 510 Herbicide.
  3. Add the remaining water.
  4. Add surfactant last.

Compatibility: AC SNARL 510 Herbicide may be mixed with other products for enhanced weed control. Refer to the "Directions for Use" Section for detailed tank mix information.

Additives:

  • Crystalline ammonium sulfate can minimize antagonism when mixed with flowable triazine herbicides.
  • Use crystalline form; dissolve and screen for quality.

Herbicides:

  • Compatible with Atrazine, Dicamba, 2,4-D Ester, tribenuron-methyl, triclopyr, chlorsulfuron, metsulfuron, pendimethalin, triasulfuron, MCPA, and oxyfluorfen*.

Oxyfluorfen:

  • Adding oxyfluorfen at 75mL/ha before planting Wheat or Barley improves knockdown.
  • Add Flowright Compatibility Agent to improve compatibility in cold water (<15ºC).
