GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

WEED CONTROL
AC SPECTRE HERBICIDE typically offers 6 to 8 weeks of control for wild oats when the seedbed is moist during their emergence. However, under very dry soil surface conditions (top 2cm), wild oats may not be effectively controlled. It's important to note that wild oats may emerge between application and complete incorporation, especially if initial incorporation is done by harrows. Additionally, this herbicide does not control emerged wild oats.

CROP SAFETY
Be cautious of reduced emergence of cereals and linseed if seeds are placed in the treated soil layer. Plant cereal crops at a depth of no greater than 5 to 7 cm. Overspraying of headlands or corners may lead to crop damage, and heavy clay soils may experience crop thinning in wheel tracks. Adverse environmental conditions affecting emergence or early crop growth may increase the risk of injury, particularly when tank mixes with other pre-emergence herbicides are used.

SOIL PERSISTENCE AND FOLLOWING CROPS
Under prolonged and extremely dry conditions, AC SPECTRE HERBICIDE may persist for several months, potentially causing damage to field oats and sorghum.

MIXING
AC SPECTRE HERBICIDE, an oily concentrate, mixes readily with water. Add the required amount to half of the required water in the spray tank, mix thoroughly, then add the remaining water.

APPLICATION
Apply to soil in friable condition for uniform incorporation to a depth of 2 to 4 cm. Ensure the soil is free of large clods (>75 mm) and crop or weed residue that may interfere with planting equipment. Control emerged wild oats either through prior cultivation/application of a knockdown herbicide or tank mixing with AC SPECTRE HERBICIDE. Apply using a ground sprayer in 30 to 100 litres of water per hectare with flat fan nozzles and a spraying pressure of approximately 200 - 240kPa. Avoid application under strong or gusty wind conditions. Do not apply by aircraft.

INCORPORATION
For superior weed control on heavier textured soils, consider two-pass incorporation. Initially, cultivate the seedbed with heavy 5-row harrows or a tyned cultivator. Final incorporation with a combine or airseeder/cultivator is essential for maximum weed control. Ensure the soil surface is left free of pronounced ridging by using heavy harrows or a rotary harrow trailing the planter or following as a separate operation at an angle to the planter.
