GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

APPLICATION TIMING:

  • SUBJECT 240 EC should be applied only when weeds are actively growing.

MIXING:

  1. Fill the spray tank to one quarter full.
  2. Add SUBJECT 240 EC while adding water to make up the final spray volume.
  3. Pour SUBJECT 240 EC into the stream of incoming water with good agitation.
  4. Add the required amount of D-C-Trate*, Hasten*, or Uptake* oil just before the tank is full of water, with the agitators in motion.

MIXING ORDER:

  • Follow a specific mixing order to prevent reactions between products. The general order is water conditioners, WG, WP, SC, EC (SUBJECT 240 EC), water-based concentrates, and oils/wetters.

MINIMUM OIL VOLUMES:

  • Minimum oil volumes depend on the type of oil used. For oils applied at 1% v/v (e.g., D-C-Trate), DO NOT apply less than 500 mL oil/ha. For oils applied at 0.5% v/v (e.g., Uptake, Hasten), DO NOT apply less than 250 mL oil/ha.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT:

  • After using SUBJECT 240 EC, thoroughly wash the tank, pump, lines, hoses, and nozzles. Rinse the system multiple times.
  • For decontamination, use a liquid alkali detergent after rinsing. Dispose of cleaning water appropriately.

APPLICATION:

Ground Application:

  • Boom spray with flat fan nozzles using 50 to 110L water per hectare.
  • Ideal droplet size: 200 to 300 microns VMD.

Aircraft Application:

  • Use 20 to 30L water per hectare, spray at 2m to 3m above the crop.
  • Ideal droplet size: 250 to 350 microns VMD.
  • Adjust equipment for wind conditions and use larger droplets in calm conditions.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • When mixed with compatible herbicides, use a recommended oil.
  • SUBJECT 240 EC is compatible with diclofop methyl and some other herbicides but incompatible with Diuron, Triasulfuron, Barrel*, and all 2,4-D formulations.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • SUBJECT 240 EC is a Group 1 Herbicide with the inhibition of fat (lipid) synthesis mode of action.
  • Weed resistance may develop; perform a resistance test before use.
  • Avoid multiple applications of Group 1 Herbicides in the same season.
  • Implement strategies to minimize herbicide resistance; consult with local experts.

PRECAUTIONS:

Re-entry Period:

  • DO NOT enter treated areas without protective clothing until the spray has dried.

Protection of Crops and Environment:

  • DO NOT apply near shrubs, trees, lawns, or crops other than wheat.
  • Avoid spray drift onto adjacent crops, lands, or pastures.
  • DO NOT apply under conditions causing drift onto nearby plants.

Protection of Wildlife and Environment:

  • DO NOT apply to irrigation drains or channels.
  • Avoid contamination of dams, streams, creeks, and rivers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Follow storage and disposal instructions on the label.
  • Store in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged sunlight exposure.
  • Triple rinse non-refillable containers before disposal; do not burn empty containers.

Envirodrum - Micro Matic Valve (110L):

  • Store the sealed Envirodrum in a cool, well-ventilated area. DO NOT tamper with the valve or seal.
  • After use, return the empty Envirodrum to the point of purchase.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

  • Poisonous if absorbed by skin, inhaled, or swallowed. Corrosive to eyes and skin.
  • Wear protective clothing, gloves, footwear, and a respirator during handling and application.
  • Wash contaminated skin areas immediately, rinse eyes with water in case of exposure.

ADDITIONAL REMARKS:

  • Monitor for weed resistance; perform resistance tests and integrate weed management strategies.
  • Consider environmental and safety precautions during application and disposal.
