GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Farmalinx SUMO Selective Herbicide should be applied to actively growing weeds. Weeds under stress are more challenging to control, and higher rates may be required under low-level stress. Severe stress can lead to control failure, caused by factors like dry conditions, waterlogging, cold, or nutrient deficiency.

Mixing:

  • Clean the sprayer thoroughly before use. Refer to the label of the previously used product for appropriate cleaning instructions.

  • Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water and start agitation.

  • Add SUMO by pouring it into the stream of incoming water and continue filling.

  • Add the required amount of ADIGOR just before the tank is full and continue agitation.

  • Follow the correct mixing order to avoid compatibility issues between products.

Application:

  • Ground Application: Ensure thorough spray coverage of the target weeds. Apply using 50 to 100 L of water/ha with a nozzle delivering a medium spray quality. Use higher volumes for dense weed populations or when targeting specific weeds like annual ryegrass.

  • Aerial Application: Apply using a minimum of 20 L water/ha, spraying 2 to 3 m above the crop. Use a nozzle delivering a medium spray quality. Avoid application in winds exceeding 18 km/hour.

Compatibility:

  • Always use ADIGOR when applying SUMO alone or with other compatible products.

  • SUMO is compatible with most common broadleaf herbicides, but test mixtures before commercial use.

  • Some products may reduce grass weed control or cause crop injury when applied with SUMO or ADIGOR. Apply SUMO first if necessary and allow at least 10 days between applications.

Cleaning Spray Equipment:

  • After using SUMO, empty the tank completely and drain the system.

  • Thoroughly wash the tank with a pressure hose and clean filters, pump, lines, and nozzles.

  • Rinse the tank twice with clean water, then decontaminate with a liquid alkali detergent before spraying sensitive crops.

  • Dispose of cleaning water properly, away from waterways and vegetation.
