Kenso Agcare Taekwando 250 CS Insecticide

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING

Taekwando 250 CS Insecticide belongs to Group 3A insecticides. There's a risk of insecticide resistance in some insect biotypes, including Helicoverpa armigera. Overuse of Taekwando 250 CS or other Group 3A insecticides can lead to resistant individuals dominating the insect population. Detection of resistant individuals before use is challenging, and Kenso Agcare Pty Ltd is not liable for losses due to ineffective control. Specific resistance management strategies may apply, especially for Helicoverpa armigera in Northern New South Wales and Queensland.

MIXING

  • Ground or Aircraft Application with Water: Mix Taekwando 250 CS with hard or soft water under agitation for thorough mixing. It's not advisable to let the mixed solution stand for more than 24 hours. In extremely alkaline water (pH 9), spray immediately after mixing.

  • ULV (Ultra Low Volume) Application with Oil: Mix Taekwando 250 CS with a mineral spraying oil recommended in the compatibility section. Ensure thorough mixing under agitation. Avoid letting the mixed solution stand for more than 24 hours before use.

APPLICATION

Good coverage is crucial for effective control. Apply by ground rig or aircraft. Avoid application if rain is expected within 6 hours. The appropriate threshold values for eggs and larval numbers may vary based on crop development stage and pest management program.

  • Diluted with Water: Apply 30 to 100 L/ha for ground rigs and 10 to 20 L water/ha for aerial application.

  • Mixed with Oil: Apply the recommended rate of Taekwando 250 CS bulked with oil to a total volume of 3 to 5 L/ha for cotton, sorghum, and sunflowers. For other crops, the total volume should be 1.5 L/ha.

TIMING

Taekwando 250 CS is both a contact and residual insecticide. Optimal results are achieved with regular protective treatments. For Helicoverpa spp., application at egg hatch provides the best results.

CROP CHECKING

Frequent and thorough checking of crops is necessary, especially after spraying. Ensure a thorough kill has been obtained, although maximum efficacy may take up to 48 hours. Check crops at frequent intervals, especially when insect pressure is high, and apply recommended treatments promptly based on crop checks.
