GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING
- Pacific Tebuconazole 430 SC Fungicide is a Group 3 Fungicide, a member of the DMI group.
- Resistance management is crucial to prevent dominance of resistant fungi populations.
- Some naturally occurring individual fungi may be resistant; Pacific Agriscience Pty Ltd is not liable for losses due to resistance.
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS – PEANUTS
- Apply a maximum of 3 consecutive sprays of DMI fungicides (e.g., tebuconazole) before switching to a non-DMI fungicide.
- Apply a maximum of 5 DMI sprays per season.
SPECIAL WARNING – BANANAS
- Bag emerged bunches in circumstances where application to rapidly growing fruit in hot conditions with strong direct light to minimize risk of fruit marking.
- Do not include adjuvants other than water miscible oils with Pacific Tebuconazole 430 SC Fungicide sprays; wetting agents can cause phototoxicity to young fruit.
FOLIAR DISEASES ON CEREAL CROPS
- Do not apply to cereal crops more than once in a season; treatment provides approximately three weeks of disease suppression.
- Economic response may not be gained by spraying crops past the flowering stage.
- Effects of fungicide application may take 7-10 days to become evident.
- Economic responses are most likely with crops with a potential yield of over 3 t/ha.
SPRAY TIMINGS FOR STRIPE RUST CONTROL
- Refer to advisory literature from the Department of Agriculture for classification of resistant and susceptible varieties.
- Seedling Infections: Apply a spray when approximately 20 out of 100 leaves show signs of infection during tillering or jointing.
- Adult Infections:
- Susceptible Varieties: Apply a spray when approximately 10 out of 100 leaves show the first sign of infection.
- Moderately Susceptible Varieties: Apply a spray when approximately 15-20 out of 100 leaves show the first sign of infection; do not delay.
- Moderately Resistant and Resistant Varieties: Monitor carefully, and if rust appears and spreads, spray within 1 week.
MIXING
- Shake container vigorously before pouring; add Pacific Tebuconazole to water in the spray vat while stirring or with agitators in motion.
- Add the required amount of Agridex (for peanuts, beans) or water miscible oil (for bananas) and mix thoroughly.
APPLICATION
- Aircraft should fly as low as possible under prevailing conditions to minimize drift.
PRECAUTIONS
- Re-Entry Period: Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried.
- When prior entry is necessary, wear cotton overalls, chemical-resistant gloves, and footwear. Launder clothing after each day's use.
PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT
- Avoid contaminating waterways; use a spray drift minimization strategy during aerial applications.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
- Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
- Triple or pressure rinse containers before disposal; do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
- If recycling, return clean containers to a recycler or designated collection point.
- If not recycling, deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility or bury it in a disposal pit in compliance with regulations.
- Do not burn empty containers or product.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS
- Harmful if swallowed; will irritate the eyes and skin.
