General Instructions for TITAN Glyphosate 450 Herbicide
Purpose:
Non-volatile, non-selective water-soluble herbicide for controlling emerged weeds by absorption through plant foliage and stems, translocating to the root system.
Application:
Effects may take 3-7 days for annual weeds and 2-3 weeks for perennial weeds, depending on factors like water quality, weather conditions, weed species, and application rate.
Controls emerged weeds only and does not provide residual weed control.
Apply to healthy, actively growing weeds, ideally not recently sprayed with another herbicide.
Use clean, fresh water for spray solutions to avoid deactivation by soil particles and hard water containing calcium salts.
Avoid applying to wet plants or if heavy rainfall is expected within 6 hours. Avoid night spraying if rain is expected the next morning.
Recommended for weed control prior to crop establishment as part of conservation tillage.
Crop Establishment:
Suitable cultivation and/or sowing procedures are necessary for favorable crop germination and development.
Early spraying to control young weeds facilitates suitable seedbed preparation.
Sowing may proceed 1 day after spraying on friable soils with light weed cover but may need to be delayed on heavy weed growth until soil conditions allow a suitable seedbed.
Mixing:
Use stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, plastic, or plastic-lined containers or spray tanks. Avoid galvanized or unlined steel containers.
Mix with clean, fresh water free from soil particles or calcium/magnesium salts.
Use a recognized buffering agent if water is acidic.
Spray solution should be used within five days to avoid loss of activity.
Flush tanks, pumps, and nozzles thoroughly with clean fresh water after each day's spraying.
Tank Mixtures/Compatibility:
May be tank mixed with certain herbicides and additives, observing label directions for specific restraints, withholding periods, and use requirements.
Addition of ammonium sulfate is recommended for certain tank mixtures to overcome antagonism.
Application Information:
Non-selective, translocated herbicide; direct contact or drift can cause severe injury or destruction to any growing crop or desirable plants.
Low spray volumes (25-100L/ha) recommended for boom equipment with fan nozzle, using pressures of 240-280kPa.
Aerial application recommended only in pasture or fallow crop situations before establishment of field or fodder crops or new pasture.
Aerial application on hilly terrain or under hot conditions requires adjustments in water volume and droplet size to mitigate drift.
Avoid conditions that may result in drift, such as high wind or inversion conditions.
Maintenance and Cleaning:
Thoroughly flush tanks, pumps, and nozzles with clean fresh water after each day's spraying.
