General Instructions: WEED CONTROL
Pacific Tri-Allate 500 EC Selective Herbicide
Control Duration:
- Provides 6 to 8 weeks control of wild oats when the seedbed is moist during wild oats' emergence.
- May not control wild oats under very dry soil surface (top 2cm) conditions.
- Will not control emerged wild oats.
Crop Safety:
- Reduced emergence of cereals and linseed may occur if seed is placed in treated soil layer.
- Do not plant cereal crops deeper than 5 to 7 cm.
- Overspraying of headlands or corners may cause crop damage.
- Crop thinning may occur in wheel tracks on heavy clay soils.
- Adverse environmental conditions may predispose crops to injury, especially when tank mixing with other pre-emergence herbicides.
Mixing:
- An oily concentrate that mixes readily with water.
- Add Pacific Tri-Allate 500 EC Selective Herbicide to half the required water in the spray tank, mix thoroughly, and then add the remaining water.
Application:
- Apply to friable soil for uniform incorporation to a depth of 2 to 4 cm.
- Soil should be free of large clods (>75 mm) and crop or weed residue that may interfere with soil flow.
- Emerged wild oats should be controlled prior to application or tank mixed with a knockdown herbicide.
- Apply by ground sprayer in 30 to 100 litres of water per hectare.
- Use a boomspray fitted with flat fan nozzles, maintain spraying pressure of approximately 200-240 kPa.
- Avoid application under strong and/or gusty wind conditions.
- Do not apply by aircraft.
Incorporation:
- Two-pass incorporation provides superior weed control on heavier textured soils.
- Incorporate initially in a cultivated seedbed with heavy harrows or tyned cultivator.
- Final incorporation with a combine or airseeder/cultivator is essential for maximum weed control.
- Incorporate within 24 hours on a dry soil surface or up to 6 hours on a moist surface soil.
Compatibility:
- Compatible with chlorsulfron, triasulfron, trifluron, and glyphosate.
- Group J herbicide; follow resistance management recommendations.
Precautions:
-
Soil Persistence and Following Crops:
- May persist for several months under prolonged and extremely dry conditions.
- Damage to field oats and sorghum may occur.
-
Protection of Crops, Native, and Non-Target Plants:
- Avoid application under weather conditions or from spraying equipment causing spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops.
-
Protection of Livestock, Fish, Crustacea, and Environment:
- Dangerous to fish; do not contaminate dams, rivers, or streams.
Storage and Disposal:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
- Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
- Triple-rinse containers before disposal.
- Dispose of undiluted chemicals properly; do not burn empty containers or product.
Refillable Containers (110 & 1000L):
