GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - Rygel Trifluralin 480 Selective Herbicide

  1. Application Timing:

    • Must be incorporated into the soil within 4 hours of application, except for minimum tillage sowing equipment where incorporation may occur up to 24 hours before sowing.

  2. Incorporation Table:

    • Follow specific incorporation methods based on furrowing out, working depth, and equipment type.

  3. Mixing:

    • An emulsifiable concentrate. Mixes readily with water. Add the recommended amount to the spray tank during filling. Apply 70-450L of water/ha (broadcast basis) depending on soil type. Ensure continuous agitation throughout the operation.

  4. Conditions for Best Results:

    • Thorough incorporation is crucial. Soil should be well worked and free of weeds at the time of application. Loss of effectiveness may occur due to inadequate incorporation, high organic matter, clods, crop/trash residues, stones, or foreign matter.

  5. Integrated Weed Management:

    • Recommended to use in conjunction with agronomic practices that reduce the weed seed bank. Failure to follow Integrated Weed Management may result in higher weed soil populations, requiring additional herbicide treatments.

  6. Wild Oats:

    • Germinating wild oat seeds on the soil surface will be controlled. Shallow cultivation is necessary for specific wild oat control.

  7. Compatibility:

    • May be mixed with specified herbicides and insecticides. Conduct a small-scale compatibility test before mixing in the spray tank.

  8. Equipment Maintenance and Usage:

    • Rinse spray tanks, pumps, lines, and nozzles thoroughly with clean water after application. Use Spray Sure Spray Tank Cleaner for removing Trifluralin stains.

  9. RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

    • Member of the dinitroaniline group. Group D herbicide. Some weed biotypes resistant to Rygel Trifluralin 480 may exist. No liability for losses due to resistant weeds.

  10. PROTECTION OF CROPS AND ENVIRONMENT:

    • Do not use in high winds. Avoid exceeding specified rates to prevent crop damage. Follow restrictions on planting sensitive grasses and oilseed poppies. Avoid application on orchards and vineyards after the first flush of growth.

  11. PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

    • Avoid contaminating streams, rivers, or waterways. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Rinse containers thoroughly before disposal. Follow proper storage and disposal procedures.

  12. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

    • Store in the closed, original container in a dry, well-ventilated area. Do not store below 5°C. Triple or pressure rinse containers before disposal. Return containers for recycling or bury in a designated landfill. Follow specific instructions for refillable containers.

  13. 110L MINI BULK RETURNABLE CONTAINER:

    • Store the sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not tamper with the MicroMatic valve or security seal. After use, triple rinse the container and return it to the point of purchase. The container remains the property of Rygel Australia Pty Ltd.
