GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING/APPLICATION

Before pouring, vigorously shake the container, then add the required quantity of UPTOWN INSECTICIDE to water in the spray vat while stirring or with agitators in motion.

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high volumes of water up to the point of run-off, matched to the stage of crop growth.

  • Calibrate and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy.

  • Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of run-off, avoiding excessive run-off.

  • Determine the required water volume from industry guidelines or specialist advice.

  • Add the amount of product specified in the Directions for Use table for each 100 L of water.

  • Spray to the point of run-off.

  • Adjust dilute spray volume, sprayer calibration, and operation as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed and calibrated for concentrate spraying, matched to the stage of crop being sprayed.

  • Calibrate and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen water volume.

  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume for the crop canopy to calculate the concentrate mixing rate.

  • The mixing rate for concentrate spraying can be calculated using the concentration factor.

  • Adjust spray volume, product amount per 100 L of water, and sprayer set up and operation as the crop grows.

  • For further information on concentrate spraying, consult relevant industry guidelines, undertake appropriate competency training, and follow industry Best Practices.

Application Instructions: Citrus Only

Apply UPTOWN in sufficient water to ensure complete wetting of all surfaces.

Oscillating Booms:

  • Use a spray volume of 7,000 to 12,000 L water/ha for trees up to 5 m high.

  • Optimize control with recommended application procedures including ground speed, pump pressure, oscillation rate, spray pattern, agitation, and boom set.

Airblast Sprayers:

  • Use for jassid control with spray volumes of approximately 5000 L/ha.

  • Less suitable for control of scales and mealy bugs.

COMPATIBILITY

UPTOWN is compatible with certain agricultural chemicals commonly used on the same crops. Contact your supplier or company representative for further information on compatibility. UPTOWN is not compatible with specific products.
