DIRECTIONS FOR USE

IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions in this section must be read carefully to ensure safe and successful use of this product.

Vimoy is a carboxamide fungicide recommended for the control of a wide range of diseases in wheat.

  • Earliest application stage: Ear at 1 cm (pseudostem erect) (BBCH 30).

  • If disease symptoms persist, a further application of an alternative product with a different active substance and mode of action may be necessary.

  • PROTECT FROM FROST.

CROPS

  • Application Rate: Apply Vimoy at 1.5 liters per hectare in wheat.

  • Maximum total dose: 1.5 liters per hectare.

APPLICATION

Water Volume

  • Apply Vimoy in 150-300 liters of water per hectare. Higher spray volumes are recommended in dense crops to ensure good penetration to the lower leaves.

  • Spray pressure: 2-3 bar is recommended.

  • Spray quality: Apply as a MEDIUM spray quality (as defined by BCPC).

Qualified Recommendation:

  • Vimoy may be applied in 100 liters of water per hectare, although efficacy and crop safety at this reduced volume have not been evaluated.

Latest Permitted Timing:

  • For wheat: up to BBCH 69 (end of flowering).

MIXING

  • Shake the pack thoroughly before use.

  • Add the required amount of Vimoy to the half-filled spray tank while the agitation system is in operation. Fill to the required level and maintain agitation throughout spraying and stoppages until the tank is empty. Spray immediately after mixing.

General Instructions:

  • Clean sprayers thoroughly with water and detergent after use.

  • Check filters and jets for damage or blockages.

  • Adjust boom height to ensure even coverage, especially at later growth stages. In dense crops, higher water volumes should be used.

DISEASES CONTROLLED

Wheat

  • Septoria (leaf blotch)

  • Yellow rust

  • Brown rust

APPLICATION TIMING

Septoria Leaf Blotch (Zymoseptoria tritici)

  • Apply before disease is established. To protect the upper leaves and ear, apply Vimoy at full flag leaf emergence up to flowering. A second application may be required in high disease pressure with an equally effective product.

Yellow Rust (Puccinia striiformis)

  • Apply Vimoy at the first signs of disease. A second application may be required if disease pressure remains high. Applications made to established infections are less effective.

Brown Rust (Puccinia triticina)

  • Apply Vimoy at the first signs of disease. If disease pressure remains high, a second application may be required. Applications to established infections are less effective.

RESISTANCE STRATEGY

  • Tank mixtures or alternation with fungicides of a different mode of action have been shown to protect against resistance development.

  • Vimoy is an SDH inhibitor, and FRAG UK guidelines should be followed.

    • No more than two applications of SDH inhibitors should be made to the same cereal crop.

  • Vimoy must be used in mixture with another product recommended for control of the same target disease, containing a fungicide from a different resistance group, at a dose that ensures robust control.

Integrated Crop Management (ICM):

  • Use Vimoy as part of an ICM strategy, incorporating other control methods, including fungicides with different modes of action and non-chemical approaches like resistant varieties.

  • Caution: The development of resistant disease strains cannot be excluded or predicted. Where resistance occurs, Vimoy may not provide satisfactory control.
