GROUP 3 9 FUNGICIDE

For the control of black spot (scab) in apples and pears and powdery mildew in apples.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Fungicide Resistance Warning
Vision is a combination of a DMI (triazole) and an anilinopyrimidine fungicide. For fungicide resistance management, Vision is both a Group 3 and a Group 9 fungicide. Some naturally-occurring fungal biotypes resistant to Vision, and other Group 3 and Group 9 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by Vision and other Group 3 and Group 9 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss.
Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Bayer CropScience Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Vision to control resistant fungi.

Integrated Pest Management
Vision is suitable for use in integrated pest management (IPM) programs, however Vision may be a hazard to parasitic wasps and should not be used where these form part of the IPM program.

Export of Treated Fruit
Growers should note that MRLs or import tolerances do not exist in all markets for fruit treated with Vision. Where fruit is destined for export to markets in which MRLs or import tolerances do not exist, the final application of Vision should be no later than petal fall. If you are growing fruit for export, please check with Bayer CropScience Pty Ltd for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances BEFORE using Vision.

Equipment
Ground application
Vision can be applied with all commonly used spray equipment that is fitted with mechanical or hydraulic agitation. Equipment should produce a fine, uniform spray coverage of all plant (stems, leaves, flowers) surfaces. Dilute or concentrate spraying equipment is suitable.
Aerial application
Do not apply by aircraft.

Mixing
Add the required amount of Vision directly to the half filled spray vat with agitators in motion. Complete the filling of spray vat under constant agitation. Do not allow the spray mixture to remain in the tank for long periods without agitation.

Application
Dilute Spraying
- Use a sprayer designed to apply high volumes of water up to the point of run-off and matched to the crop being sprayed.
- Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy. Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of run-off. Avoid excessive run-off.
- The required water volume may be determined by applying different test volumes, using different settings on the sprayer, from industry guidelines or expert advice.
- Add the amount of product specified in the Directions for Use table for each 100 L of water. Spray to the point of run-off.
- The required dilute spray volume will change and the sprayer set up and operation may also need to be changed, as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying
- Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying (that is a sprayer which applies water volumes less than those required to reach the point of run-off) and matched to the crop being sprayed.
- Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen water volume.
- Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume (see Dilute Spraying above) for the crop canopy. This is needed to calculate the concentrate mixing rate.
- The mixing rate for concentrate spraying can then be calculated in the following way:
EXAMPLE ONLY
1. Dilute spray volume as determined above: For example 1500 L/ha
2. Your chosen concentrate spray volume: For example 500 L/ha
3. The concentration factor in this example is: 3 X (i.e. 1500 L ÷ 500 L = 3)
4. If the dilute label rate is 75 mL/100 L, then the concentrate rate becomes 3 x 75, that is 225 mL/ 100 L of concentrate spray.
- The chosen spray volume, amount of product per 100 L of water, and the sprayer set up and operation may need to be changed as the crop grows.
- For further information on concentrate spraying, users are advised to consult relevant industry guidelines, undertake appropriate competency training and follow industry Best Practices.

Compatibility
Vision is compatible with most commonly used insecticides and miticides, including Gusathion® SC, Insegar® and Omite® WP. Do not mix with products containing aluminium, copper, or products giving an alkaline reaction e.g. Bordeaux mixtures or lime sulphur. For further information consult your local reseller.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

APPLES
Disease:
Black spot (scab) (Venturia inaequalis), Powdery mildew (Podosphaera leucotricha)

PEARS
Disease: Black spot (scab) (Venturia pirina)

Rate:
Dilute spraying: 75 mL/100 L
Concentrate spraying: Refer to the Application section in GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Critical somments: Do NOT apply Vision later than 4 weeks after petal fall.
Where fruit is destined for export to markets in which MRLs or import tolerances do not exist, the final application of Vision should be no later than petal fall. See Export of Treated Fruit section under GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS.
Do NOT apply more than 3 sprays of Vision per season.
Apply by dilute or concentrate spraying equipment. Apply the same total amount of product to the target crop, whether applying this product by dilute or concentrate spraying methods.
Ensure thorough and even coverage of all plant parts.
Black spot (scab):
Commence applications at green tip, or at spur burst following a recommended green tip fungicide spray. Apply a maximum of three applications at 7 to 10 day intervals.
Curative Treatment: apply within 5 days of the commencement of an infection period.
After the final Vision application, continue the Black Spot (Scab) program with an alternative fungicide within 7 days, to retain a protectant cover.
Powdery mildew:
Apply at early pink stage, and repeat at 7 to 10 day intervals up until 4 weeks after petal fall.
After the final Vision application further applications may be required with an alternative fungicide.

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS
Harvest: WITHHOLDING PERIOD NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED.
Grazing: DO NOT GRAZE ANY TREATED AREA, OR CUT FOR STOCK FOOD.
