GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Recommended Use: Vorlon Flowable SC is recommended for the post-harvest protection of bananas and citrus fruit from specific rots and moulds. It is also used for the treatment of specific fungal diseases in bulbs, corms, mushrooms, and turf.
  • Before using Vorlon Flowable SC mixed with other chemicals, consult the manufacturer.
  • Shake the container before use to ensure uniform dispersion of contents before measuring the required quantity.
  • Clean mixing and spraying equipment before use.
  • Fill the mixing tank with water to 1/2 full and begin mechanical agitation.
  • For all purposes except mushrooms and potatoes, add a wetting agent to the water before including Vorlon Flowable SC.
  • Fruit and bulbs should be washed before the application of Vorlon Flowable SC suspension.
  • Fruit must be in complete contact with the suspension for at least 30 seconds.
  • Fruit should not be rinsed after treatment.
  • Ensure even and complete coverage of potatoes is obtained by adequate rotation of tubers along the conveyor line.
  • Potatoes should be treated within 3 days of harvesting and grading before storage. For effective control of Silver Scurf, undertake the treatment within 4 weeks of crop maturity.

FUNGICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:

  • GROUP 1 FUNGICIDE: Vorlon Flowable SC Fungicide is a member of the Benzimidazole group of fungicides. It is a Group 1 Fungicide for fungicide resistance management.
  • Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to Vorlon Flowable SC Fungicide and other Group 1 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population.
  • Resistant individuals can dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly.
  • Resistant fungi will not be controlled by Vorlon Flowable SC fungicide or other Group 1 fungicides, resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss.
  • The occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use. Colin Campbell (Chemicals) Pty, Ltd accepts no liability for any losses resulting from the failure of Vorlon Flowable SC Fungicides to control resistant fungi.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to the recycler or designated collection point.
  • If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill.
  • If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose, clear of waterways, desirable vegetation, and tree roots.
  • Empty containers and product should not be burnt.

DISPOSAL OF UNUSED OR SPENT DIP:
