GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Product Characteristics:
- This product is not systemic but quickly moves into leaves following application.
- Achieve thorough coverage for maximum product deposition on the leaf surface, essential for uptake by sucking mites.
- Product not absorbed by leaves degrades quickly.
RESISTANCE:
- Early development of mite resistance may occur if used repeatedly.
- Recommended application no more than twice per season, preferably once.
- Consider alternating with miticides from different chemical groups.
INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:
- GROUP 6 INSECTICIDE:
- AC WHISTLER MITICIDE/INSECTICIDE belongs to Group 6.
- Resistance may occur due to genetic variability in insect populations.
- Axichem Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses due to resistance.
- Specific resistance management strategies may apply. Consult your supplier, Axichem Pty Ltd representative, or local agricultural department agronomist.
MIXING:
- Partially fill the spray tank with water.
- Add AC WHISTLER MITICIDE/INSECTICIDE.
- Add remainder of water. Add recommended oil after thorough mixing.
- Wetting agent is NOT required.
CROP SAFETY:
- Some pear varieties, particularly Anjou, may experience slight fruit russetting.
- Temporary apple fruit blemishing may occur with low water volume applications.
- DO NOT apply to apples or pears before or after Delan* or Captan* applications.
- Conditions contributing to crop damage: unusually hot conditions, poor drying, application with equipment causing large droplets.
COMPATIBILITY:
- Compatible with most commonly used insecticides and fungicides.
- All mixtures should be tested before mixing commercial quantities.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR COTTON:
- Apply by ground spraying equipment or fixed-wing aircraft.
- Apply in a minimum of 20L water per hectare for good coverage.
- Ground application: Use inter-row droppers with nozzles at canopy level.
- Aerial application (Fixed Wing): Apply in cooler parts of the day or night with a reliable crosswind for good canopy penetration.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR CITRUS:
- Thorough spray coverage is crucial for effectiveness.
- Properly calibrate equipment for even distribution at the correct volume.
- Use the same product quantity per hectare for both dilute and concentrate spraying.
APPLICATION BY DILUTE SPRAYING:
- Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes, applying up to the point of run-off.
- Set up and operate the sprayer for even coverage.
- Determine water volume from guidelines or expert advice.
- Add the product per 100L of water. Spray to the point of run-off.
APPLICATION BY CONCENTRATE SPRAYING:
- Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying.
- Set up for even coverage at your chosen water volume.
- Determine appropriate dilute spray volume to calculate concentrate mixing rate.
- Calculate concentrate rate based on dilute rate and concentration factor.
- Adjust spray volume and equipment setup as the crop grows.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Allow the spray to dry before re-entering treated areas.
- Re-entry into glasshouses prohibited for 24 hours after treatment.
- Wear protective clothing during entry.
- Avoid drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.
- Dangerous to bees; do not spray plants in flower while bees are foraging.
- Dangerous to fish and aquatic organisms; prevent contamination of waterways.
- Store below 30°C. Triple or pressure rinse containers before disposal.
- Dispose of rinsings properly. Do not burn empty containers.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS:
- Poisonous if absorbed by skin contact or swallowed.
- Will damage eyes and irritate skin. Avoid contact and inhalation.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment during handling and application.
- Wash thoroughly after use.
