GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING

  • Group 11 Insecticide: XenTari WG Bta belongs to Group 11 insecticides. Resistance may develop in insect populations with repeated use. Monitor for resistance and consult local authorities for management strategies.

Mixing

  • Add the required quantity of XenTari WG Bta onto the water surface in a partially filled tank.

  • Agitate thoroughly and add the remaining water while continuing agitation until fully mixed.

  • Maintain suspension with agitation during mixing and spraying. Use the spray within 12 hours of mixing.

  • Addition of a non-ionic wetting agent at label rates can assist coverage, especially on waxy surfaces.

Application

  • Thorough spray coverage is crucial for uniform deposit of XenTari WG Bta at the larval feeding site.

  • Re-treatment may be necessary if rain falls shortly after treatment.

  • Apply before crop damage occurs when the pest population is starting to build, and larvae are hatching.

  • Use overhead and drop nozzles for good coverage on foliage, ensuring a uniform deposit on all plant surfaces.

  • Water volume depends on crop stage, humidity, spray equipment, and local experience. Moderate to high spray volumes are usually recommended.

  • Avoid the use of broad-spectrum insecticides during XenTari WG Bta sprays to maximize assistance from beneficial insects.

Compatibility

  • Compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. DO NOT mix with or apply near alkaline products like Bordeaux mixtures.

Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment

  • Avoid contaminating ponds, waterways, and drains with the product or used containers.

Storage and Disposal

  • Store below 25°C in the closed original container in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

  • Rinse containers before disposal and add rinsings to the spray tank. Dispose of containers at a local authority landfill or bury them below 500 mm in a disposal pit away from waterways, vegetation, and roots.

Safety Directions

  • Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and open wounds. Wear protective clothing including cotton overalls, gloves, washable hat, and face shield or goggles.

  • Wash exposed skin with soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with water. Wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly after use.

  • Seek medical attention if poisoning occurs.
