Mode of Action

• Azoxystrobin is a strobilurin fungicide that works by disrupting the electron transport chain in fungal cells. This prevents the fungus from producing energy, leading to death.
• Thiophanate methyl is a benzimidazole fungicide that works by inhibiting the synthesis of microtubules in fungal cells. Microtubules are essential for cell division and growth, so their inhibition leads to death of the fungus.
