Lethal Super 550 is a broad-spectrum insecticide manufactured by Insecticides (India) Limited. It is a combination product containing chlorpyrifos and cypermethrin as active ingredients. Lethal Super 550 is formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) containing 50% chlorpyrifos and 5% cypermethrin. It is a contact and stomach poison that provides effective control of a wide range of insect pests in various crops.

Mode of Action

Lethal Super 550 acts by disrupting the insect's nervous system through two distinct modes of action. Chlorpyrifos inhibits acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme essential for nerve impulse transmission, leading to overstimulation of the nervous system and paralysis. Cypermethrin acts on sodium channels, disrupting nerve impulse transmission, causing rapid knockdown and death of insect pests.

Application

Lethal Super 550 is recommended for use in a variety of crops, including cotton, rice, vegetables, and fruits. It can be applied as a foliar spray. The recommended dosage and application method vary depending on the target crop and pest.
