DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

General Information:
Observe a minimum interval to harvest of 28 days after treatment. Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution Plant, containing as active ingredients Gibberellins A4A7 and Benzyladenine, is especially formulated to achieve thinning of apples. The desired thinning effect is obtained as a result of one or two post-bloom applications of the recommended dose of Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution. In addition to achieving thinning, Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution may also increase fruit size in some varieties.
Application Instruction: DO NOT apply this product through any type of irrigation system.

DO NOT APPLY BY AIR.

DO NOT use NAA (Naphthalene acetic acid) in any Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution thinning program. One or two applications of 1.5 to 4 liters of Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution per hectare should be made when king fruitlets are approximately 5 to 10 mm in diameter (NOTE: this period may extend from approximately 7 to 21 days after full bloom, depending on the apple variety and local weather conditions). Refer to the RATE CONVERSION TABLE for recommended use rates of Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution. Do not exceed 76 grams of N-(Phenylmethyl)- 1 H-purine-6-amine (4 liters of Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution) per hectare per application. Consult your local Valent BioSciences agricultural specialist, extension specialist, or Farm Advisor for specific use rate recommendations for the apple varieties in your area.
Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution should be applied in 500 to 2000 liters of final spray solution per hectare. As with most growth regulator products, timing and total grams of active ingredient per hectare are the two major factors that determine the magnitude of the response, however, the amount of water used per hectare should be maintained at a point that ensures uniform and thorough coverage of the tree canopy while avoiding excessive wash-off of the product. Use calibrated spray equipment to ensure uniform spray coverage of leaves and developing fruit, particularly towards the upper half of the tree. Apply early in the morning or late in the afternoon when drying conditions are slower to ensure adequate absorption.

Mixing Instructions:
Add required amount of Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution to a spray tank about half-filled with water. Agitate while bringing the total volume of water to the required level. New solutions should be mixed only in a clean, empty spray tank and used within 24 hours.

Compatibility with Other Chemicals
No information is available on spray tank-mix compatibility with other control products. Consult your local Valent BioSciences agricultural specialist, extension specialist, or Farm Advisor for information on specific compatibility questions. DO NOT tank-mix with NAA (naphthalene acetic acid) products.

Special Considerations
Effectiveness of chemical thinning depends greatly on environmental conditions before, during, and after spraying, as well as the vigor or health of the trees. High temperatures or cloudy periods before and/or after spraying may increase the thinning response. Trees weakened by disease or physical damage thin more easily than healthy trees. Use lower rates for weaker, less vigorous trees.
Applications of Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution are most effective when the air temperature is 21°C-24°C. Do not spray Accel Plant Growth Regulator Solution when temperatures are below 16°C or above 27°C.
• Airblast application: do not direct spray above plants to be treated. Turn off outwardpointing nozzles at row ends and outer rows. Do not apply when wind speed is greater than 16 km/h at the application site as measured outside of the treatment area on the upwind side.
• DO NOT APPLY BY AIR.
