GENERAL INFORMATION:

B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator is for use on container grown ornamental plants. B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator passes into the leaf, then moves within the plant to the growing points to reduce internode elongation. Treated plants develop a shorter, more compact growth habit when compared to untreated plants (see dilution table for converting percent concentration to dosage of B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator perlitre).

APPLICATION NOTES:

The recommended application volume is 1 Litre per 5 square meters of area. This will provide coverage of the foliage just to the point of runoff.
Plants should be well watered prior to application of B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator. Wilted plants do not readily absorb B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator and poor results may occur. The plant foliage should be dry when sprays are applied. Do not syringe or overspray the foliage for 18 to 24 hours after applying B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator to allow the chemical to enter the plant.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Pot Chrysanthemums: To produce compact, branched (pinched) plants, spray to run-off 2 weeks after pinching with a 0.25% (2500 ppm) of B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator. For very sensitive varieties apply when desired plant height isreached.
If additional retardation is desired, a second application of 0.25% (2500 ppm) B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator may be applied at three weeks after the first application. It is suggested that a ‘MEDIUM’ schedule calling for shading and pinching be used on the same day for ‘TALL’ varieties.
This will eliminate the open, relatively leafless appearance often associated with the use of delayed pinch schedules.
To produce compact potted single stemmed plants, spray to run-off two weeks after planting with a 0.5% (5000 ppm) solution of B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator.

Cut Chrysanthemums: To retard neck stretching just below the flower on potted and cut flowers, spray the top 1/3 of the foliage to run-off with 0.25% (2500 ppm) B-Nine WSG Plant Growth
Regulator two days after disbudding.
Azaleas – Greenhouse Plants: To promote development of additional buds on plants grown for forcing, spray when new growth following final shaping is 2-5 cm. Apply either one application of 0.25% (2500 ppm) B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator or, two applications of 0.15% (1500 ppm)
B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulatorat one week intervals.
Hydrangeas – Spring Growth: To retard spring forcing growth, spray with a 0.5% (5000 ppm) solution of B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator when the new growth has just started to unfold and four to five pairs of leaves are visible. Apply 2-4 weeks after forcing but not later than this time.
Bedding Plants: Excessive stem elongation of petunias, marigolds, zinnias, asters, cosmos and salvia is prevented by a B-Nine WSG Plant Growth Regulator spray made when 4-5 cm of new growth has developed after transplanting or pinching (approximately 2-3 weeks) or when the plants begin to elongate (stretch). Use a 0.5% (5000 ppm) solution sprayed to the drip point.
