Plant growth regulator solution for use on apples

GENERAL INFORMATION
BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution is a plant growth regulator for use on red apples to promote fruit colour development.
Apply BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution in a sufficient amount of water to ensure thorough coverage of the tree canopy. Use properly calibrated spray equipment to ensure uniform coverage of fruit and foliage. Adjust water volumes based on plant size and spacing.
Make 1-2 applications of 100-200 ppm at 7-14 day intervals, 7-28 days prior to anticipated harvest (see BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution Dilution Guide). BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution can promote fruit colouration in red apples; however, apple variety and environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, fruit light exposure, light quality, etc.) can impact the efficacy of BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution.
Under conditions where red colour development is acceptable (e.g., cultivars or strains that develop good red colour, orchards that typically produce apples with sufficient red colour development, environmental conditions in which red colour development is sufficient), use of BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution may not result in significant additional red colour.
Best results will be achieved by avoiding applications during the hottest part of the day.
To maximize effectiveness, apply BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution under slowdrying conditions (e.g., early morning or late afternoon).

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
SHAKE BEFORE USING.
Do not apply by air.
BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution should be applied using conventional spray application equipment. Do not apply this product using irrigation equipment.
As this product is not registered for the control of pests in aquatic systems, DO NOT use to control aquatic pests.
DO NOT contaminate irrigation or drinking water supplies or aquatic habitats by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes.

Airblast application:
Do NOT apply during periods of dead calm. Avoid application of this product when winds are gusty. DO NOT direct spray above plants to be treated. Turn off outward pointing nozzles at row ends and outer rows. DO NOT apply when wind speed is greater than 16 km/h at the application site as measured outside of the treatment area on the upwind side.
Direct 80% of spray to the upper 2/3rds of the tree structure.
Use a properly calibrated sprayer to ensure uniform and complete coverage of all foliage and developing fruit without run-off. Spray volume should be adjusted for tree size and density.
BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution works best if climatic conditions allow and extended drying period. Apply in the morning or evening when temperatures are lower and humidity tends to be higher than during the day.
In some cases, tank mixing with another plant growth regulator or a pest control product or a fertilizer can result in biological effects that could include, but are not limited to: reduced product efficacy or increased host crop injury. The user should contact N.M. Bartlett Inc. at 905-563-8261 for information before mixing any plant growth regulator or pesticide or fertilizer that is not specifically recommended on this label. The user assumes the risk of losses that result from the use of tank mixes that do not appear on this label or that are not specifically recommended by Fine Agrochemicals.
Do not apply to trees that are injured or under stress from excessive heat, drought, disease, nutrient deficiency etc.

Additional Information
Refer to BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution Dilution Guide. The effectiveness of
BLUSH Plant Growth Regulator Solution depends on the variety of target apple trees and environmental conditions, e.g.: temperature, light exposure, etc. Refer to your extension specialist for advice regarding rate of application for apple varieties in your area.
Observe a minimum interval of 7 to 28 days between the final application and harvest.
