DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use Dursban 2.5 Insecticide to control mosquito larvae in areas which serve as breeding sites for these pests. The applications may be made with any hand operated or ground vehicular mounted gravity or rotary spreaders or seeders or with aerial application equipment suitable for uniform distribution of this product.
Application Rates:
Read and understand the entire label before opening this product. If you have questions, call the manufacturer at 1-800-667-3852 or obtain technical advice from the distributor or your provincial agricultural representative. Application of this specific product must meet and/or conform to the following:
Volume: Recommended rate 28-46.25 g ai/ha. A maximum rate of 60 g ai/ha to be used only after consultation with the registrant.

LARVAL CONTROL (Standing Water)
Temporary Pools (e.g. shallow, grassy depression, flooded woodlands, industrial parks, roadway ditches, railway marshalling yards, small temporary sloughs). NOT TO BE USED IN PERMANENT WATER BODIES SUCH AS: LAKES, DUGOUTS OR FISH PONDS.

GROUND OR AIRCRAFT APPLICATION:
Use to control mosquito larvae in areas which serve as breeding sites for these pests. The applications may be made with any hand operated or ground vehicular mounted gravity or rotary spreaders or seeders or with aerial application equipment suitable for uniform distribution of this product.

FLOODED AREA TREATMENT:
Apply uniformly over flood water impoundments (temporary pools) where mosquito larvae are present. The high rate (46.25 g ai/ha) should be used only if algal content or aquatic vegetation does not allow thorough penetration of granules or if multiple generations or asynchronous hatching of mosquitoes is expected. Use the lower rate (28 g ai/ha) if aquatic vegetation is not dense and thorough penetration of granules is expected.

DO NOT REPEAT MORE OFTEN THAN ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS.
THIS PESTICIDE IS VERY HIGHLY TOXIC TO FISH AND OTHER AQUATIC ORGANISMS SUCH AS AQUATIC INSECTS AND CRUSTACEANS. DO NOT APPLY TO PERMANENT WATER BODIES AS THESE MAY CONTAIN FISH AND OTHER AQUATIC ORGANISMS.
APPLY ONLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL PROVINCIAL AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING CHEMICAL TREATMENT OF BODIES OF WATER FOR CONTROL OF MOSQUITOES.
DO NOT APPLY IN AREAS WHERE THERE MAY BE POTENTIAL EXPOSURE TO BYSTANDERS. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE APPLIED AT AN APPROPRIATE DISTANCE FROM RESIDENCES, HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, PARKS, PLAYFIELDS, AND PLAYGROUNDS. THIS DISTANCE SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED BY THE MUNICIPALITY/PROVINCE.

Consult provincial pesticide regulatory officials for required authorization.

AERIAL APPLICATION
Apply only by fixed-wing or rotary aircraft equipment which has been functionally and operationally calibrated for the atmospheric conditions of the area and the application rates and conditions of this label.
Label rates, conditions and precautions are product specific. Read and understand the entire label before opening this product. Apply only at the rate recommended for aerial application on this label. Where no rate for aerial application appears for the specific use, this product cannot be applied by any type of aerial equipment.
Ensure uniform application. To avoid streaked, uneven or overlapped application, use appropriate marking devices.

Use Precautions
Apply only when meteorological conditions at the treatment site allow for complete and even crop coverage. Apply only under conditions of good practice specific to aerial application as outlined in the National Aerial Pesticide Application Manual, developed by the Federal/Provincial/Territorial Committee on Pest Management and Pesticides.
Do not apply during periods of dead calm or when wind velocity and direction pose a risk of product drift. Do not spray when the wind is blowing towards a sensitive crop, garden, or terrestrial habitat.

Operator Precautions
Do not allow the pilot to mix chemicals to be loaded onto the aircraft. Loading of premixed chemicals with a closed system is permitted.
It is desirable that the pilot have communication capabilities at each treatment site at the time of application.
The field crew and the mixer/loaders must wear chemical resistant gloves, coveralls and goggles or face shield during mixing/loading, cleanup and repair. Follow the more stringent label precautions in cases where the operator precautions exceed the generic label recommendations on the existing ground boom label.
All personnel on the job site must wash hands and face thoroughly before eating and drinking. Protective clothing, aircraft cockpit and vehicle cabs must be decontaminated regularly.
