GENERAL INFORMATION

Flumetsulam 80% WDG is a selective herbicide for the control of certain annual broadleaved weeds in hybrid field corn and soybeans. In hybrid field corn, Flumetsulam 80% WDG may be applied surface preplant, preplant incorporated, preemergence, or early postemergence. In soybeans, Flumetsulam 80% WDG may be applied surface preplant, preplant incorporated or preemergence.
Absorption of Flumetsulam 80% WDG occurs through both foliage and root uptake. Susceptible weeds exposed to Flumetsulam 80% WDG stop growing and either die or remain non-competitive with the crop. Because uptake and translocation of Flumetsulam 80% WDG involves uptake by both roots and/or foliage, adequate soil moisture is necessary for optimal activity.

Flumetsulam 80% WDG is for use on hybrid field corn and soybeans.

Handling Precautions for water-soluble Packets
Do not remove water-soluble packets from overpack except for immediate use. Do not allow watersoluble packets to come into contact prior to use. do not handle water-soluble packets with wet hands or wet gloves. Carefully reseal the overpack containing unused water-soluble packets and protect package from moisture. Do not open the water-soluble packets.
Flumetsulam 80% WDG is packaged in 113.4 g water-soluble packets. Each water-soluble packet will treat 1.8 ha of field corn or 1.3 ha of soybeans. The number of water-soluble packets required to treat a field may be calculated as follows: size of field in hectares/1.8 or 1.3 ha (depending on whether corn or soybeans is being treated = number of water-soluble packets required.
Thorough mixing is required. To ensure a uniform spray mixture, continuous agitation is required during mixing and spraying. Apply spray mixture within 24 hours after mixing. If the product is allowed to settle, thoroughly agitate to resuspend the mixture before spraying.
As this product is not registered for the control of pests in aquatic systems, DO NOT use to control aquatic pests. DO NOT contaminate irrigation or drinking water supplies or aquatic habitat by cleaning of equipment or disposal of wastes.
Field sprayer application: DO NOT apply during periods of dead calm. Avoid application of this product when winds are gusty. DO NOT apply with spray droplets smaller than the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) medium classification. Boom height must be 60 cm or less above the crop or ground.
